well...yeah. I know that....consider this my only gripe throughout the entire series.


This episode reminded me of work waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much. People who half listen to what your saying while barking orders to others make me physically ill. The CJ drama is not my cup of tea...im not enjoying the set-up even though im sure it's leading to a purpose. Just one man's opinion.

I wasn't feeling good...and things were rough at work..I listened to this and CRIED at my desk. I hate goodbyes. HATE THEM ..hate them. HATE them. and I'm an ugly duckling when I cry...get all red and puffy, can't hide it. Wahhhh.

...Does anyone think the safe houses are not all necessarily 'houses', but any fortified building?

I imagine that the safe houses are 70's/80's vintage McDonald's restaurants. I once read over a list of local civil defense shelters and was shocked to find that the majority of them were located at McDonald's restaurants around the city (no joke!). I had a chance to visit one shortly after and saw what this meant for myself. The manager's office was located down in a very deep basement. There was a door next to the office, behind which there was a bomb shelter stocked with civil defense supplies. The manager explained that the company got a tax break for building using this design and maintaining the shelters.

Definitely. OR she can go Adibisi ( from HBO's OZ) and torture CJ slowly by putting crushed glass in her food. Seriously, I was totally loving CJ until she went into Dictator mode.

but I'm hoping Michael isn't on the rebound and confusing his newfound respect for CJ's leadership skills with love. I'll punch someone in the throat if that happens.

Dude, yea...ive seen those as well. Crazy stuff. I believe it was a home eco. Class or something but we toured McDonald's for some reason (too long ago, too many beers) but the manager was very casual about telling us the space by the office was a bomb shelter.

First time posting on an episode thread so here goes.

The episode was a little slow but I enjoy these ones. KC has always said these "setup" episodes are very important to the story so there's usually lots to dive into. There was a definite theme of 'getting the chess pieces in place' and most of it seems to make sense. I was a little disappointed that the Rilley / Burt story fizzed out a little but I'm sure it will come soon enough.

I think Saul and Victor probably did the right thing leaving without a fuss. The only reason I thought Saul wouldn't leave quietly would have been if Lizzy didn't go. I don't think he would be that worried about leaving his mum there. I'm surprised nobody has told Saul about his mum having a bite on her arm, that would send CJ and Michael into a theory frenzy! Michael doe's seem to have the blinkers on when it comes to the bigger picture. He's so set on hunting that he hasn't really thought about why his best hunters are being spread across LA. At least they now have a network of bases that they can work from. Who is going to the safe house beside the mortuary with Tanya? Was it implied that they will only travel to it to do there research or are they staying?

When the group is so divided they may be wide open to a Maller attack. If Saul and Victor are at Dunbar and Michael and the other soldiers are out hunting, that only leaves the civi's there to defend the colony. Scratch is smart enough to take out the weakest link but unfortunately the weakest link is full of weapons, ammo and supplies.

I only started listening a week ago, spent 2 days catching up on all the episodes. a couple more days listening to all the We're not dead episodes then a couple of days wait for this episode. Now I have the dreaded '1 week wait' for the next fix.

My friend, feel what you want and react as you will.

Besides, liars get what's coming to them. Just because I understand why CJ is reacting how she is that's not to say she won't get her comeuppance if she doesn't set the story straight. Think back on some characters who have been untruthful and what's happened to them:
Bill- dead
Angel- dead (lie of omission re: the family and scratch)
Kalani- dead
Pippin- toast
Kimmet: dead
Nurse britt: nuclear waste

Nurse britt isn't a liar.... She's just got a specific person pining for her to be alive. It's wanted to throw it out there again that she's dead.
