I agree with the
Riley hunting
Scratch. I have never fully understood it. I can see
Burt. I am still not on board with
Angel being her True Love. I am still in the camp that she has/had a thing for
Lizzy. I think time has weakened her "love" for her. I see Riley as looking at Liz at that chick you were stuck in the friend Zone with until you just slightly jaded.
I think the
Hunt of Scratch comes from her wanting an excuse to not be in
The Colony. Seeing Liz with a child was the final straw I believe. At Irwin she was a cook. No matter how much
Michael vouched for her. Something else happened at Irwin to make them go "Hell to the naw". She was drunk and shell shocked coming in... so they write her off for good? Something else happened.
Coming to The Colony with CJ in charge just pushed her over the edge. She no longer just wanted to be in the background. No longer wanted to be The Cook. She saved a lot of lives and proved her salt. She needed a reason to go on. She had no reason to keep going. Can't do it for love as Liz is firmly with
Saul. Can't trust not being forced in the kitchen or something else. She wanted to do her own thing. The thing with Scratch just gives her a reason. She doesn't want Angel forgotten like she does. Michael not not getting her on his team hurt her. Mainly being she was the only one that stayed behind with him. She isn't a Colonist like the rest are. She wants to hunt. That's why she stayed at Irwin. Scratch is just an excuse.
Then again... I could be reading WAAAAY to deep into it. These is what I tell myself is the reason at least. Mainly b/c her going "Screw you Guys!!!" bothers me a lot.
