the end would be KC waking up from a dream, sitting at his desk. then the camera pulls back and reveals he's wearing a straight jacket and he's in a small white room. behind him we see a door with a small window, two orderlies are peering in, Michael and Saul.

S: "looks like he finally woke up."

M: "Yeah, what, he's been out for 4 days straight? i cant see how anyone can do that."

S: "What do you think he dreams about? are they that damn good?"

M: "no, i doubt it. he's been here since he was 7, what could he possibly think of, he can barely draw smiley faces on his desk."

S: "Yeah, i guess you're right."

*Michael's radio crackles*
Burt: "You guys do know I've been listening to your conversation this whole time?! quit your horseplay and get back to work!"

*Saul mouths "oh shit". they both walk away.

I kind of want to know. It would add lots to the story. If there's a specific place it started is there a cure in that area? Why was it created? A revenge story line where they kill all the raydon labs scientists(assuming that's where it was created) could be cool, if done right(and they seen to do everything right)

Well, I could be cool not knowing. We all know this is way out there in the spectrum of possibilities. So one runs the risk of taking away from the story as people nitpik. The story is more about how do a bunch of strangers pull together to contend with multiple threats to achieve the one goal of survival. But, as they get closer to the goal they will find most have a different definition of survival. Zombies are plot device. It could be a forest fire. An island of stability in the midsts of a riot. The arena in Katrina.
