Background
- Known only as the quiet girl on the train, once from the City of Lost Souls. In 2009, a young Heather is with her parents, Keith and "Mother Dot" Warren, as Fort Bragg is overrun by an outbreak caused by experiments run there.
- As the family flees to the roof amid chaos and the infected, Aaron Friedrich -- who would later become the Republic's Ambassador-Chancellor -- reaches the roof first and abandons the Warren family, securing a spot for himself on the last helicopter and leaving Heather and her parents behind as the platform is swarmed.
- Her parents hide Heather in a ventilation duct as she watches both of them die, her father shouting her name over and over: "Dot." The duct collapses in the attack, giving her massive head trauma that causes Aphasia, triggering on the last word she heard over and over -- "Dot."
- The base's location becomes known as the City of Lost Souls, its infected exhibiting unique behaviors such as carving their former military ranks into their own skin. Heather eventually escapes, molded by constant threat from such a young age, and is later captured and sold as a contender for The Boar's lethal Primm arena games.
Personality
- Small, quiet, and lethal -- a lone wolf and pure survivor who moves through the world like something half-seen, half-forgotten. A killer not out of cruelty but necessity, since violence became her language after language failed her first. Every movement is careful, every choice economical, every breath measured.
- As she grows to trust others, her speech begins to repair and return, though moments of trauma become setbacks.
- Her arc is not about becoming stronger -- she is already strong. It is about becoming human again: learning to speak, learning to trust, and learning that survival can mean more than staying alive.
Notable In The Series
- Escapes Water World alongside Alex, with whom she bonds deeply.
- Only able to say the word "Dot" at first, due to trauma-induced Aphasia.
