Funny you mention that. My friends and I were discussing it just last night. I am of the opinion that these creatures aren't technically zombies, atleast not the kind where they seem to live on despite being severed in half or missing all their internal organs save for the brain. These creatures are more like infected people. I've not heard of a reanimated corpse on this show yet either. They eat, they die from various methods (that is to say they don't have to be killed with a gun shot to the head), and so I think they are alive, like the title of the show says.

This is a good question brought up. Someone smarter than I might be able to answer. But think of it as a sort of Mob Mentality. Alone people are smart and think analytically. Together people are stupid and react rather than think. ?? maybe ??

Well with the independent biters, or even jumpers and behemoths, rabies can mess you up! They don't show much reasoning or though capability beyond instinct, and they could have been reduced to mindless rage monsters. The squicky part comes along when they start working towards a goal. How efficient is their communication? Do they think?

We know the smart ones can think, and likley have some memory of past life, so... why are they helping thw zombies.

The mire I think about it, the more the ant correlary makes... a lot if sense..... hmmmmn...

Very true. Shane probably will appear again--I hope. You're also incredibly right about Jenna's performance. It was pitch perfect and really fantastic to hear her soft side come through.

I think she is emotionally imbalanced and is trying to find someone to fill the void of her dead brother. Was she being nice for the sake of being nice or to get the information... I would like to think the latter.
