Chapter 26- "Who Overcomes" Part 3

That is a good question! It could be that the Mallers, in all their scavenging, stumbled across some of these farms and were stealing from them, or using them for provisions on their scavenging missions. It could be that they new the location of more than one farm and kept them written down for occasions where they might get lost. Chinwe did ask Victor and Saul, "were you the one stealing from my farm" but the way she said it made me think that it has been an ongoing problem. I thought of Skittles as a culprit too. But that could be one explanation as to why that corpse had a paper with the farm address.

I don't think it is likely he was a friend of Chinwe's, or at least he hadn't been her friend for a while. He was freshly turned and Chinwe seemed very aware that she was alone and appeared to be alone for quite sometime. It could be that the corpse was a one time friend and member of her tower who then defected to the Mallers. But I'm not sure if the Mallers are accepting new recruits without having said recruits spill the beans on their previous locales.

Chinwe is totally NOT alone! when Saul and Victor were watching the security gate being reset by her they were talking about TWO people. AND the chapter before Chinwe was on walkie talkie with some guy....'I lost him..what? Wait' something like that then she gets the drop on Saul. I think the guy hit Saul and ducked back under the car...Chinwe came out to shoot him.

Funny Chinwe calls the Mallers animals for killing her friend over Chips and soda when she was gonna kill Saul over apples and oranges!

I think Burt is still alive!! Saul didnt find him...Scratch took him (put him with the old man...she has ALWAYS called Burt 'Old Man') AND I bet Burt helps Lizzy and gets his gun back! Scratch was nice enough to go find it for him!

AND the chapter before Chinwe was on walkie talkie with some guy....'I lost him..what? Wait' something like that then she gets the drop on Saul. LOL, yeah, that last bit you posted is a pretty funny point.

But in regards to Chinwe definitely not being alone, I don't think that can be said with certainty. That portion you quoted where you believe Chinwe to be on a walkie talkie saying, wait I lost him, is actually Saul on a walkie talkie speaking with Victor.

I can not say I am certain she was alone though, because of the way Saul and Victor interchanged between seeing a him and then using they/their to describe who they were watching. However, I am very much leaning towards Chinwe being a lone survivor much like Skittles.

I just got to thinking about Randy. This could be a bit of a stretch but think on this for a moment. What if the members from the other tower run by CJ were so numerous in the beginning that they had members hunkered down at the water pumping station? Taking orders from CJ they would have been in charge of keeping a fresh supply of water intact. Then Michael gets in a bit of a bind with the behemoth at the water station. He runs into a survivor named Randy. Randy helps him escape but in the process gets turned. Is it possible that if they dig through Chinwe's files some more they might find something on Randy?

But I think this can only mean that Kalani:
-was telling the truth about coming from Hawaii, and may have been coherced into being a rat upon arrival in L.A.
-was never a rat.
-told the same lie to the both Tower groups.

He is definitely from Hawaii. When Burt was out looking for a chopper they saw the big 'Hawaiian airliner crashed'

Pippin had a passport.
Bill only used a shotgun to fight off the Mallers during the war when he had a whole arsenal's ammo locked in his room.
Basically, I'm saying the crashed Hawaiian airliner can be used as evidence to support Kalani's back story, but not prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt. Even so, if he is from Hawaii, which I am pretty sure he is, that wouldn't prevent him from being forced to do the Maller's dirty work.

Yah I think Randy is from pumping station too. I think he was attacked and gave his life in escape from pumping station...That is why Michael doesnt want to talk about it. They might find something on Randy but how would they put anything together? Michael never told anyone about it. Unless they just read that part aloud while going through her notes.



hmm it Victor totally sounded like a FEMALE!!!! his 'what' sounded a lot like scratch. you are right. hmmmmm. When they were watching her reset the gate they described more two people. IDK..we shall see in due time as KC tells me! Drives me nuts EVERY episode ends with you wondering WTH???

Could it have been Randy's body on which Victor found the slip with the location of the garden? If he was from the Other Tower he might have known about the garden. We know he had been turned and that he was in the vicinity of the Tower. The big question would be how recently it had happened, since Victor thought the body he searched was "recently turned".

Randy would have been turned for awhile...if he turned fast like most of the bitten. As Michael, Pegs, Kelley went to Colony and everything in the meantime. WHAT IF...Randy is a cool ZOMBIE? Nice, and helped Michael? lol..no telling with this story huh?

it would be crazy if Chinwe was from Fort Irwin. The connection that the story needs to have Saul and Victor reunite with the rest of the Tower Survivors.
