I vote stone, BUT we could make a sandwich, Stone obsidian stone? light on the inside but still with structural integrity. Might alter plans though.
Also, if we play creative what will we do about Zombie's etc. No fun if they can't kill you. Or is there a way we could swap to survival for sim battles? With spawn eggs it'll be a lot easier to create the size of Z armies we will need.

Creative construction then Survival only.

Creeper explosions will not be an issue.

Originally, if you look at the 3D construction of the plan I did, I mainly used fine stone and the stone bricks to create the look of the tower. So I have no problem with it it was just a thought.

Ok, I guess but will individuals have the right to adapt their room in the way they see fit (I'm paranoid so I'd sacrifice space and a diamond pick to put a layer of obsidian inside my room. Also I was playing some multiplayer yesterday and some servers are allowing users to make blocks private (so only them and admins could alter it) not sure where to get the mod but its a thought. People are not always trust worthy. It could be done too the blocks around the tower and some blocks in the tower by admins if necessary.

That was always the case.

People can do whatever they want inside their own room.

The Tower will be protected.
