Uh, yeah. Cause in a movie about zombies THAT would be the unbelieveable part! LOL
BTW Anthony Edwards would be perfect for the role of Angel.

Actually, he would play an excellent Gatekeeper. :)
Eesh. I'm not a fan of Damon Wayans Jr., or for that matter, any of the Wayan brothers. IMO, they are just the epitome of awful acting.
Never even thought of using him. Wow. I think this one will have to develop in my mind. The problem I have is Kevin Smith comes off as lovable in all his roles, and so I would have a hard time seeing him playing someone who isn't liked by all.
I probably should read the last 9 pages but I want to suggest that instead of watching Live action show, how about a animated series instead so to keep the VA's around. I mean in japan the VA's make audio dramas for their respective series. So, how we do the opposite and keep them on board for animated series?
Feel free to tear me apart if this already been suggested.

Loretta Devine as Tonya
Whoopie would be my 2nd choice.
Esai Morales as Victor
Lizzy is hard to place. I always imagined her as having one of those faces with intelligence written all over it but happens to be blonde. Unlike the rest of my picks, this actress doesn't do TV and would be impossible to get but her look is almost right.

come on guys they got cover art for saul on the site. hes not that blackhttp://zombiepodcast.com/The_Zombie_...e%20copy_1.jpg
I hope they don't turn it into a TV show unless the original team is in charge.
The radio drama is amazing because everyone is in their element. While I do love good visual media I would hate to see this franchaise (for lack of a better word) turn to shit, as most things do when they try to appeal to grander audiences. I think the radio drama series is a refreshing way to be entertained and I am hoping the We're Alive team continues on creating stories when they are finished with this one in a similar fashion.
Most of us would agree that books are better than movies. That's usually because the author has the ability to directly tell you what the characters are feeling and doing whereas in visual media the actor must portray that, which usually adds a fair bit of complexity and difficulty into the project.
I do love a good Zombie film, but I don't want We're Alive to turn into one.
You have a good point there. I hate when great books/oldies are turned into crappy shows. Like the Sookie Stackhouse book series for example. The TV producers did well in separating the show from the wishy-washy teen fad that is Twilight. But at the same time I they undermined certain character relationships and over exaggerated parts of the plot to stretch the story out for an hour. Then they added junk that was just plain WRONG (ie dancing fairies).
KC, show 'em who's boss! Tell the production company that you're in charge or no deal! $20 million is not enough to convince you! Do it!
When I think of Burt, Lee Ermey comes to mind.

Ditto that Dalton.
Gina Bellman *has* to be Riley! http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV...0,214,314_.jpg
IMDB doesn't like hotlinking images.
Here's a backup of the image on a nice hoster.

i still think marion cotillard would make an awesome riley
Attachment 515 Delphine Chanéac (vid; she cut her hair off for a movie) - Riley
Why would u want riley to be bald!?!?!?!??
O_o yeah that's just an interview she did on a film set. She has a full head of hair now. The video was meant to showcase her accent and qualities.
oh lol i didnt listen to her at all, i was too busy staring at how BALD SHE WAS! but yeah she seems pretty cool too
Odd or not, Hollywood follows a formula. Big Name Actor/Actress must be in just about everything. And Depp is in just about everything. I never said he'd fit well, I'm just saying he'd probably get cast as something......hmmm....maybe Skittles....
Call Me crazy but i think Jim Carey would make a good skittles im not so much weighing him against other actors for the role but he does have a very thin almost starved body type... with a little makeup im thinking he could get pretty convincing. the other thing is he has played a lot of crazy and zainy characters, the only thing is i dont know if he would fit into the serious role, not because he lacks the skill, but people just wouldn't expect it and it might even take away from the story when they expect him to be funny and start complaining in the theater.
The Voice actors should play their respective parts, with extra's as the zombies or other tower residents. It's only right that the people who do the voice acting play their physical roles in the T.V show (if it happens)
I think they should go an animated route. Keep the voice actors and have animator Genndy Tartakovsky draw it. (the guy that did samurai jack) His style is like an animated 300. Dull colors and bright red blood.
Kc says the problem with animation is that the script is written specifically for audio only, so it would be extremely difficult to animate if not impossible. So they'd have to re-write all the scripts and start from scratch if they were to do an animated thing. They can't just add visuals to the audio that they already have
im sure it would be a pain to animate it, but wouldnt a large studio be able to pull this off? If not, i do like mascarias suggestion on the comic book panels with limited animation.
Graphic Novel... why not just write a full novel and do a viral campaign like the new Mortal Kombat series??
The only thing with translating the audio to vid is that all the voices and characteristics we love will change. I'll be the first one pissed off if Saul's character changes.
People will be saying "Angel...Burt doesn't sound like that!"
If you want to see why I think it's a bad idea for animated comic, look no further than the dead space animated series.

i like the idea of it being done more like the walking dead is done. i dont read comics much anymore and only reference The Killing Joke graphic novel as what i think is great artwork. I can still tell the joke that the Joker tells Batman at the end of that one too. That and approx $.80 will buy me a coke(soda or pop) lol
yea you guys seen the Walking deads animated comic done for AMC? If not, have a look on youtube. Its animated enough to have someone talk and show action without having to change too much.
