Background

Never had real combat command. Kimmet has completely submerged his humanity into the rigidity of military protocol as a way to avoid drowning in the chaos of the apocalypse -- he doesn't see himself as a villain, but as the last structural beam holding up the ceiling of civilization.

Personality

The embodiment of institutional coldness. To Kimmet, the "mission" and preservation of the chain of command are the only things that matter -- he operates entirely on data, logistics, and survival percentages, allowing him to make horrific, detached decisions without the burden of empathy. He would rather see a clean, strategic retreat that preserves the institution than a messy, heroic stand that risks it.
