• In his infection-induced confusion, once mistook Pegs for his deceased wife, Sandy.
  
• Became the prime suspect when food and ammunition began disappearing -- while he did hoard supplies (later discovered in the elevator), his true intentions as the suspected Mallers informant remained ambiguous.
  
• During a Maller attack, came down to help fight but was killed by a pipe bomb. His final word to Burt was a simple "I'm sorry" -- leaving the survivors unsure whether he was apologizing for a betrayal or just his prickly, selfish behavior.
