A compact variant of the M16 rifle, used extensively by the US military.

The M4 is a carbine variant of the M16 assault rifle that is standard issue for many US military units. It features a shorter barrel, a collapsible shoulder stock, and a series of mounting rails on which various sights, rangefinders, flashlights and other accessories can be attached.
