It's intentional for this not to be revealed in the story, it wasn't the right time. Unveiling something very fast at the end of the story just wouldn't give justice to what Ink created.

And that's all I can say.
I'm personally kind of glad that Ink's latest wasn't revealed in the finale, for the reasons that KC just mentioned. It would have been just too short of a time span to take it all in. We spent SEASONS learning about the Behemoths and Little Ones. When the story was getting closer and closer to a close, one of the biggest worries that I (and a LOT of others) had was that it seemed too close to the end to add new mysteries. What we got is more of a tease than a full-out unanswered question.

Oh that's right. I completely forgot about that when you introduced us to Kodi at Ft. Irwin in Season 3. Michael and Puck went over a replay of Kodi's luring and execution of a bunch of biters in I think it was Barsto. That same recording was given to Tanya to look at while she was held up in her cell. I just needed a refresher on the details. Boy, this show keeps you on your toes.

So, having listened to both of the fan podcasts that were created around We're Alive, I have to say there seemed to be a lot of Pegs hate going around. Well thinking on how the final episode played out I could imagine after the defeat of both Ink and Scratch that Pegs and Michael found some time to compare notes. If we think of both climactic story lines as heroes going up against bosses, it's clear Pegs outdid Michael.

Scratch has been every bit a force of destruction for the survivors as Ink was. Scratch and her actions led to the destruction of the Original Tower, the deaths of Bill, Kalani, Angel, Hanna, Bixby, Dr. Jason, and Gatekeeper, and the mutilation of Burt. Ink and his actions led to the abandonment of Dunbar, the destruction of Ft. Irwin and Boulder, and the deaths of Tommy, Datu, Muldoon, Robbins, Carl (nobody ever calls him by his last name, huh?), Samantha, and Martin. In terms of sheer scale, Ink did a lot more, but perhaps from the Original Towerites' perspective, Scratch was at least as responsible for bringing them misery as Ink, if not moreso.

So, Pegs faces off with Scratch one-on-one and takes her down with her pistol. Granted she had some assistance from CJ to at least get to the fire escape, but after that it was all Pegs (and Hope's gun). Michael, on the other hand, didn't face off with Ink one-on-one and was more of a cheerleader from afar while Victor killed off any zombies that got close to him and Saul handled the dirty work of cutting Ink down and setting of the C4. Michael did one CJ-like thing when he assisted Saul in killing Ink by showing him the katana, but that's it. It's simple. Michael's a** and his plan needed to be saved by both Saul and Victor alternately. Pegs saved the rest of the survivors by beating Scratch.

    Case closed.

I can envision Michael and Pegs relaxing on a couch after the day's events and Michael excitedly talking about how "he did it!" Ink and the special zombies have been defeated. Pegs just rolls her eyes, sighs, and responds that she also had a tough day at the office having to take down Scratch near solo, but you don't see her bragging about it.

Not entirely so, Michael was the one responsible for the change in mind and tactic that made ink a priority. He was, in the end, more responsible for the mission, than the people. He was now in the position on Angel from the beginning. Had it not been for his efforts in the scheme to take down ink, there's no telling how far he could have gone.

Raven noticed that Tanya's notes were sealed in the archives are reminiscent of Marie Curie's notes that are locked away because of the radioactive danger they pose. Are Tanya's notes locked away because of a perceived infectious danger?

That's true, though with a heavy assist from Tanya. Even during Season Two, among all the characters, she was the first one to really be focused on the How and Why's of the zombies rather than just the Who, What, and Where's that everyone else cared about. I think Michael's change in tactics and strategy came when he accepted Tanya's hypothesis that there was something different about the zombies in L.A. compared to anywhere else. I remember a scene in the old Tower when Tanya was asking a bunch of questions about the zombies and Michael cuts her off and then she just storms out of the room in a huff. That's when Randy got her. It seems after that point, Michael started treating Tanya's inquisitive nature and desire for more information with greater respect.

Hmm...I didn't get that that they were sealed, just that they were in archives.

Maybe not so much due to radiation, but because of the secrets they contain. If Nicholas is to be kept safe, so must that stuff. If anyone could just read the raw versions of the journals, they'd know he might be immune.

What would happen only if they found out that his high Midi-Chlorians level?

But seriously, is there no way to get rid of this immunity connection thing between Tanya - Saul and Nick whilst still preserving the recorded data? I mean, everybody else was granted a clean slate scenario when z-day happened.
