Why does everyone hate Pegs :c
I think a better question might be "Why does anyone not hate Pegs?"
Gooer, my friend, let me count the ways (reason) I dislike Pegs:
1. She's a ditz
2. She's needy and clingy
3. The flowerpot, need I say more?
4. She's manipulative
5. She's indecisive
6. She plays up the helpless card
7. I'm listening to Chapter 17 Part 2/3 and there's a great quote that explains my dislike:
Pegs: "Why is everyone we meet a big aggressive A-hole?"
Michael: "All the passive ones are dead."
With one exception, Pegs proves to be pretty damn passive. If it weren't for the "kindness" of the strangers she's leached off of, she'd be dead too.
Granted she's growing food now and is a pilot but she doesn't have many redeeming qualities, imo.
Darnit.....

i think the reason i'm not on the Hate Peggs Wagon is because i understand her plight.
i'm a pretty passive person by nature, and i hate it. i'm a people-pleaser too.... and middle child, so "peacemaker" as well.
Peggs represents a significant portion of the population of the US, and one of the only reasons she's still alive is due to the merit of courageous men and women... but she may not know how to live in their world. The fact that she changed her position on Firearms means she's making an effort.
i may not agree with her choices/politics/reactions, but i understand where she's coming from.

I think we have seen the overall "Family" story line. The "Family" was more of a vehicle to introduce the Mallers as a structured group, and driving Scratch's motivations.
It will probably only come up in the Scratch vs. Pegs & Burt/Riley vs Scratch stories.
I think the people with the NWO theories are looking for answers to questions that even Kc is not going to answer. He has said we will not get "all" of the answers, and it sounds like we will not know exactly what caused the outbreak.
I think this is late in the game, with only about 20 episodes left, to introduce new plot lines and/or characters that would properly cover a NWO scenario. But who am I to say, I couldn't write my way out of a paper bag
I think we will get some answers about the haze, but not about the exact cause of the outbreak.
I think there might be some surprises with Pegs before the show ends. Cryptically, she narrates before the war and refers to the soldiers as Guardians long before we ever learn about the colony. In addition, she yells it is not enough, shoot him again when Ink is shot by Burt twice in the chest.
This is very odd. It is not very Pegs like. There must be a reason for it. The same drama could be provided by Lizzy who actually was present when Ink killed Todd and has some experience killing biters, even special biters.
I really hope this is the case, Grognaurd. But, to play devil's advocate on the Ink shooting, it could simply be a case of her skittishness where she wants Burt to shoot Ink more. If you have a person with no concept of what constitutes "enough" when it comes to force, it might make sense for her to go overboard. Lizzy, on the other hand, might've figured a double tap to the chest was sufficient to drop a person.
To give an example, a person with a phobia of spiders may think that burning them/blowing them up/hitting them with a sledgehammer is sufficient whereas another person might be okay with just squishing them with a tissue. It all depends on where you're coming from.
