One of my favourite post apocalyptic books, a must read for fans of the genre. Although the day of the flood (It's sequel) is a superior book in my opinion people should definitely read this one first.

In the Uk the name is Oryx and Crake. The day of the flood is the sequel. It probably doesn't matter which way you read them because they focus on different characters but events I will not reveal happening at the ned of the day of the flood link the two so its prob best to read Oryx and Crake first. WARNING these books contain some disturbing scenes so younger readers should steer clear.
