The Randy and Michael connection

I'm not sure if this matters to anyone on this thread, but I seem to remember a few people wondering how Burt knew to find Michael at the water works. As it turns out, Michael had access to a CB radio. In Chapter 12/1 when Micheal says that he had the radio set to a channel other than 18, he backs it up by saying it is the channel he spoke to Saul on and the same channel he used to call Burt to get him at the water works.

Well, for me at least, the mystery is solved. Not sure if it was info anyone else was missing.

I had missed/forgotten and always wondered how he got out. Now we just need to know what Burt found when he got there? ...

Lets hope everyone can stop interrupting Michael when he tells us... or maybe Randy can tell us, I don't care I just want to know

And besides we should hear the zombies side of the story "I was just out looking for some lunch when a these people started freaking out and shooting at me. What was I supposed to do? Zombies have to eat too you know"

Ok, so now my turn for a bunch of theories.
Firstly a disclaimer. I have no idea how the rest of the world got infected.

My theory is that Randy was a Tech in the army and Michael knows him from there, with Micheal being in Army Intel, he would talk to the Techs. This is why Randy helped him at the waterworks, since Randy is a smart one who is mostly human.
After his tour of duty Randy left the army and went to work for Raydon labs, where they were working on "super soldier" type enhancements (the steroid type chemicals).
While Ink was working there he was getting low level exposure to many of the compounds, but not enough to cause visible difference. He shared some of the successes with Randy who took some, becoming a better sportsman but with more follicle growth.
Because of the long hours in the lab etc. Inks wife had an affair, but Ink found out. In a roid rage he killed them all. When he was found, the cocktail of chemicals and the realization of what he had done burnt his brain a bit and so became schizo.
While at Cain, Ink got Randy to send him a packs of pens and paper over a few months. The black pens had the meds in the them. In order to inject them into his body he used them to tattoo chemical formulas etc which is not as effective as into veins. To hide the formulas he got someone to tattoo occult and prison style tats too, but was busted and made up the story that he was forced.
The anti-schizo meds had calmed his rage, now he could think with out distractions while growing more powerful. He would work out what combinations of chemicals would roughly produce what results which after Z-day he would use on people to produce the numbered ones. Each number was a different combination, producing different mutations, in his experiments.

Typing of which the Big Ones had too much boost juice, growing so much and getting cancerous type cells. They are dying out because of this. In fact most Zombies are starving to death, it's just the numbered ones are smart enough to feed on the normal Zombies. It's been a long time since Z-day.

The low level exposure for Randy and Ink and maybe some sort of antidote/protection chemical has stopped them from becoming like a number one.

Another idea is that CJ and Ink met at Cain while she had a little breakdown, but before he was inked up.
