I imagine that going down like CJ sees him tells the other 2 and they recongnize him

In reference to your question, if the theory that "The Family" was either behind or privy to the outbreak before it happened, would Angel have known about this? I would say no, from the "conversation" with Scratch, I gathered that he was trying to distance himself from them as much as possible.

I'm kinda getting a bit of a "The Skulls" vibe from it. You may leave, you can turn your back, but you can never truly get out. I wonder when he did make his decision to leave? Was it early on? In collage? In the Army? His joining the military could have been merely part of him trying to win favor and gain rank within The Family, much like you did in Skull and Bones.

What level of family are we talking here anyway? Mafioso or New World Order Age of Reason Conspiracy? If you want to reduce global population to 500 million, then Zombie plague is as good a way as any. Weed out the weak so only the strong and clever survive.

As it seems that the outbreak may have had geological origins, if the Family had prior knowledge, then we could have an ancient secret society on our hands, perhaps even following prophecy.

It's almost the same as what happened the Chef once Issac left the cast of South Park.

Shane leaves and his upright, uptight, wordy, health conscious soldier becomes a pile of unmoving messed up flesh that can only grunt, draw few letter words and turns out to be a made man.

Either that or it's a SuperBowl ring or one like Astronaughts get or Fraternity (I've run out of rings in Columbo episodes)

I havent and never wanted to comment on episodes since I became a fan but this episode deserves one.

I personally really never liked Angel. From the first time I heard him, he sounded like a typical officer. "My shit doesnt stink" kinda guy. Season 2, there was some points where he gained some respect in my eyes. Though he never moved into my "like" category.

This episode on the other hand jumped him from the bottom of the list to the top. Even when left for dead, broken, burned and barely alive. He held his ground protecting his friends. He died a Soldiers Death and deserves a memorial.

I have no criticism of Kalani's death—he sacrificed himself trying to save his comrades. It was his actions as the Rat that I still haven't reconciled, and those do taint the (imaginary) man's legacy.
