Well back to the thoughts on Kalani I relistened to Ch. 11, 12, and 13 and I found something that I didn't actually notice before. Kalani is absent through all of chapter 12. He and Datu are the only people who don't even have a part in the chapter, and we are told where Datu is, not Kalani

Now the "Kalani is secretly a Maller" theories that never quite died are getting extra gasoline. All I can say about that ending is WTF! WTF! WTF!
Um...I don't think I have processed it yet in these hours. Kalani in the files? I don't get it! My brain can't compute it.

They were Maller relevant files, but that doesn't mean everyone in those files was strictly a Maller...but why would he be there.

Also my guess is that Chinwe is the last of the "Other Tower", still alive and not affiliated with another group. It just feels like it for one thing. Also, she seems to be living in a heavily reinforced apartment, all of her friends are dead and she has her stuff together. Seems like "Other Tower" to me

while i dont really feel this IS the "other tower" it just goes to show just how close the other tower could have been to our own. also while reseaching, i looked into a way to travel from points a,b,c,Q, and r ( ?) undetected..and found this

if you study closely..you'll notice passages past pretty much every major spot on our current map...including the "make-believe" other tower i placed at 640 s. main just for an earmarker(location of the cecil hotel)..


now things i question/noticed

how/why/where did chinwe(CJ) learn so much about guns? not the normal "civilian" knowledge..as evidenced by our insurance salesmens lack of intel(im soo happy victors a normal dude... )
if she saw the convoy heading to the arena, she must have seen the cart(s?) with the slaves, did she even question if any of her group were on the cart? her actions this episode seem to say no
if your plan for survival failed once, why return to the scene? i can understand that for the most part. but one would figure the linguring memories of what happened would be enough to drive a person away. its clearly made her quite cold hearted, but perhaps shes holding onto the hope of someone returning?(links and puns, look at me go!)
i got the feeling that victor was trying to tell saul that he knew where they were when they were on their way into the building(sean likely told him of the other tower in far greater detail then kalani did, perhaps he also shared some info about CJ?)..why did he hesitate?

and i reeeeally didnt want to get into the kalani thing. to me, it feels way too red herring cliffhanger-ish. but
chinwe(CJ) could easily have a file on kalani in her "mallers" pile, simply because he wasnt at their tower very long before they were attacked...if i were a paranoid person in charge of an operation like that..and i was attacked a couple days after a new guy shows up..(wait, this all sounds familar..?) im gonna hold off on any speculation about kalani until we actually hear it...but i have a feeling that his backstory is probly far more interesting than many of us would have thought it was

and i believe we have yet to cry our last tears for him....ghah, i think im done here...

I have not gone back to relisten, yet. Nor have I listened to this chapter with goodvearphones...

But at the party

Kalani tells Kelly he does not drink. Kelly asks him to dance and he says that I can do. Soon Kelly tells him noobie put your hands here. He and Kelly are on the dance floor at least until Saul is brought upstairs. Because Kelly complains that Saul is on the dance floor. Presumably drunk off his ass

I forgot he was put on guard duty. So he would have access to the radio.

Kalani could be rat, but not thief. As for shooter. I find that one hard to believe. The alarm sounds before the shooting while Datu, tha maintainence guy is down by the car. While the alarm sounds Datu just hangs out by the car. When Kalani arrives they leave for the airport. Could be. I do not think Datu would be so passive with what could be a maintenance malfunction.

If Pippin knew Kalani would he say it's you? I think it would be more likely for him to say Kalani.

I admit I like Kalani. But, I try to play it down the middle and cite facts.
