What was in Bill's desk?

Angel had Kalani's Journals, which he put in Hope's bag. The only realistic reason that he could have had them is if he took them from Bill's desk.

However, this does not completely rule out the possibility that there was something else in the desk. I don't believe this is the case, but in theory there could be another item. All that Angel confirmed to put in Hope's bag were the journals, which could mean there is a possibility that Angel could still have a different this item on his person, which might mean it was what Scratch was looking for.

Just something for all you people who like crazy theories. I think its just the Journals though.

Indeed so good sir. Tho I could see the purpose and value in the journals- I think it may be something far out that we cant predict.

I wouldn't give up hope on Angel just yet. Although one would think that falling from the top of a crumbling 15-story apartment building would kill most people, there is still a chance. Poster Werewolf put out a scenario whereby Angel managed to latch himself to the landing gear of Peg's chopper via his zip line harness moments before she pulled away from the building. Since Michael commented that he could no longer see Angel as they pulled back, there is a remote possibility that he did just that.

But again, a getaway would sure blow a big hole in those of us (including myself) that believe that Angel is the person Scratch and co. found in the rubble and put with "the old man". If this happened, then I cannot believe Angel will survive far into season 3. His injuries should be about as fatal as they could possibly get considering a 15-floor plunge.

I agree with you that it sounded like Kalani wanted Angel to have whatever it was in Bill's drawer. If it were just a journal, Kalani would have wanted Michael to have it, not Angel, since Michael was the one who insisted on everyone keeping one. There was something else in that drawer and now I think Scratch has it, whatever it is.

Remember all: People survive buildings collapsing. Pasquale Buzzelli survived the Twin Towers attack and he was on the 22nd floor at the time the Tower he was in fell. Just because the building collapsed does not mean Angel has to be dead. Nor does it mean he will die from his injuries per se. If he is with the Mallers, they might actually nurse him back to health (probably so they have the satisfaction of killing him from full health....who knows...)

There's other reasons why Kalani might want Angel to get his journals first vs. Michael. If Kalani wrote something that really needs a filter first, Angel is a better choice than Michael. If Kalani was the rat (I don't think he was) and he wrote a confession, he might want to admit his wrong doing to his friend first and let him explain it to the rest. Kalani and Michael never got along, but Angel and Kalani formed a strong friendship through their ordeals.

Can i also just mention it was in "BILLS" desk? who is bill was he the dude at the top of the tower who was an A**ehole right at the beginning when burt shot the gun out his hand? and what was said item doing in there in the first place? and why would kalani put it in bills desk? you ever thought bill could be the under cover person? he didn't like them being in his apartment block and no one knew how he got in there in the first place?

Bill was the buildings owner.
Why Kalani put it in Bills desk is probably because Bill died way earlier and probably didn't have much use for it in his current state of you know- not living.

There are definitely two journals that Angel took from Bert’s desk. I think one is a truthful journal that Kalani has been writing, which will explain a lot of things in the coming season; the other journal was a dummy that Kalani kept to turn in. I recall that Tanya had asked Angel (or Michael?) if he’d read all of the journals, and then dropped the subject because Angel (or Michael?) got a little pissy about her questioning. I think that she noticed some inconsistencies within Kalani’s dummy journal and those of other survivor’s.

I was thinking it was something like that. Perhaps an account of what happened in the tower as well as his experiences in the arena. He didn't have to write about either experience in the journal he gave in since he could have feigned ignorance and said he couldn't remember much when he had a vivid memory of the entire experience.

As for Tanya digitizing the journals, I think she was still in the middle of them when she was talking to Michael about the different accounts people had and stormed out the room after Michael was being "pissy" or something. She was then rendered unconscious by one of the "zombies," dragged off by Randy, rescued by Michael and was in a "coma" for a few days so she might not have finished them before the attack.

And as nikvoodoo suggested, people can survive from a collapsing building (a la 9/11) so I wouldn't rule out a number of them surviving. To be completely honest, I've been wondering where Saul and Victor went/were after climbing out of the humvee? Were they captured? Did they escape somewhere? Ugh still a few more months away from knowing.

I think Tanya might have been done scanning. I have no way of proving that at this moment, but it seems like she would need all the journals scanned to make the type of connection. /assumptions
