If Rooney Mara isn't at least as convincing a Lisbeth as Noomi Rapace was then really there's no point in watching the remake at all in my opinion. The Swedish films weren't without fault, but Noomi was so amazing as Lisbeth that she is the standard.

Considering Rapace didn't quite do the character justice in terms of adaptation from the novel (which wasn't very good IMO), what would be the difference? Fincher will make it work.
