Well that does make sense, most humans probably won't survive the initial attack and even the ones who do won't survive much longer after that. And even if they did and the birth rate did become existent they would still be babies that couldn't fend for themselves. Then of course babies have to have attention and special kinds of food which would just make it a burden to have a child.
That's good to hear, KC! Also I think I should say the obvious, that I think your show is amazing. <3
Jim Gleason's salary REVEALED!! On a serious note, I'd donate money to keep the podcast going.
I don't keep it loaded, son. You'll have to find ammo as you go.
So you all got me thinking about this more. I think a good analogy to the zombie outbreak is instantly fatal malaria resulting in the birth of a new, malaria infected mosquito.
In our story, there are many more mosquitos that humans (guess 10,000 : 1) and no malaria cure/vaccine and no mosquito repellant. The odds of human survival is pretty bleak.
The only chance for human survival would be to find a cure/vaccine or to kill all the infected en mass. Maybe if they drop a sweat bomb to lure them into a pit and then light them on fire, but killing them one at a time won't work. I'm hoping for some "super science" sort of like in I am Legend where they find out what caused the outbreak and a cure. That means they will have to capture some and study them. How fun would that be?![]()
Holy cow Brooke! Zero births is the deciding factor? We're talking generations of occupation by the infected then and not just a few years?
I have to look at current events and say that since we've been dealing with Iraq for over 20 years now, kids who were babies at the time of the Kuwait Invasion are participating in the war efforts now.
Having said that, wouldn't the kids who are born at the onset of the invasion (if they're hidden and not eaten) be the warriors to fight the battles for the next 50 years?
