I spent a weekend in Vegas with 30 podcast fans I never met before

I listen to a few gaming podcasts and the biggest one "Ventchat" had a meetup in Vegas for its 200th show.
I have talked to most of the people going on mumble , ventrillo or Skype but I never met any of them in person.
The main reason I went was because it was a little out of character for me.

I had a great time, it was like going to a class reunion and replacing everyone with people I actually liked.

One of the hosts had made a chainmail vest that was given away. It was like a magnet you couldn't help to play with it and a lot of people put it on


I am not sure if I was the oldest person there but I was definately the tallest


I wasn't fond of the idea of going to the tourment of kings but our group made it a goal to yell louder than every other group there and we rocked the roof off.
I have never been to any sporting event that made that much noise. A few of the actors came to our area after the show to try and figure out what the hell we were doing



What happens in Vegas doesn't really stay in Vegas I was glad I didn't get this drunk


Jake (the guy in the background with the beard had the craziest set of tattos I have ever seen.
Including a picture of Jim Henson (creator of muppets) on his arm




One guy looked like Gordon Freeman (from half life) so much we kept yelling GET THAT MAN A CROWBAR


It is possible to do a live Podcast broadcast from a hotel room with crappy internet but it isn't easy.
We had a California Wine Mixer the night before and the cops shut it down because of the noise


This is the digital Magic-8 ball I gave to the hosts of the show.
I spilled my own blood to put a cheap MP3 player in a 8-ball and include 100 different sayings related to the show.


The only thing I can say about this photo is that I am not in it and he was such a huge fan that he had the show logo tattooed on to his lig
