Oh, here we go... I knew the Boston accent would come up sooner or later. Look, I live in Boston, was born & raised in Dorchester, and 90% of the 'Boston accents' you see on Youtube are of people faking a Boston accent.

A real Boston accent sounds like this:

You see? Nothing stupid or over-the-top... just normal, sane English with a delightfully colorful dialect...

Now, if you want a stupid-sounding accent that makes women sound like two-bit crack ho's, look no further than our big neighbor about 230 miles southwest...

Here's an example of a California accent to add to the list. I grew up among people who speak with this accent, and particularly this cadence. I just wish the spokesperson wasn't such a homely example of the local women!

So I don't get called biased, here's an example of VERY Southern accents (but not an example of regular Southern folks)...

I give you the pride and joy of McIntyre, Georgia:
Well, my days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle.

Ugh! I just spent a week in the NY/NJ area and had to try to decipher this stuff (along with 5 other similar accents) the whole time... Props to you, Lit, for putting this one up.

Hooray for Californian girls! The Golden State where nearly each and every girl has got their breasts augmented. It is just like surviving Baywatch - turn down the volume and enjoy the visuals.
