Thanks. Cubase SE3, because I understand it! It's quite old but I stick with it as I know my way around it and it still fulfils my needs. I have Ableton 8 but I can't seem to get on with it.

apparently i'm not as up on sound editing as i thought, because i have never heard of either of those.
