I also read Afraid by Jack Kilborn. I was impressed with its relentless pace, gruesome violence, and unrelenting suspense. The author explores the darkest aspects of human nature and pushes the boundaries of fear and survival. The characters are forced to confront their deepest fears and make difficult choices to protect themselves and their loved ones only up.
