Alright, I did my random list and it turned out pretty well. But now here is my ideal zombie apocalypse playlist:

Overall Zombie Theme: Stone Sour – 30/30-150
Reason: I was in the middle of reading The Stand when this album first came out and I still associate this song with surviving post-apocalypse.

First Zombie Kill: Atreyu – Becoming the Bull
Reason: It’s a good song for getting the adrenaline pumping

Running from the horde: Black Sabbath – Paranoid
Reason: Has a classic melody that screams “frantic desperation”

Have to kill first love interest: From Autumn to Ashes – Autumn’s Monologue
Reason: It’s haunting

Meet a group of survivors: dredg – Brushstroke: Walk in the Park
Reason: A good instrumental piece to set the mood

Meet new love interest: A Perfect Circle – Sleeping Beauty
Reason: Maybe I got a thing for the “wounded” types. But it’s a zombie apocalypse, who wouldn’t be a little emotionally scarred?

Making my last stand: Killswitch Engage – My Last Serenade
Reason: Look at the title, it’s fitting

Everything’s alright: Incubus – Aqueous Transmissions
Reason: Nice and peaceful

I’ve been bitten: Linkin Park – In the End

End Credits: 3 Door Down – Life of My Own
Reason: “Let me die on my own terms” perfect theme for a zombie flick IMHO.
