I suggest that all livestock be branded with "The Mark" so that at least regular zombies won't attack them.
For pets, they should at least have collars with tags displaying "The Mark".
And for Tactical Animals, i.e. K-9 unit officers, put "The Mark" on their tactical vests.

And not that Babies are pets, but they also deserve protection. Make onesies, blankets, mobiles, and pacifiers with "The Mark" on them.

Also, while you're at it.... Make a spot light that can project the protection mark anywhere you point the light. Got survivors running for their life but can't reach them.... Spotlight them with the mark until you can get to them.
