Haha, well don't let it happen again...geez, asking questions that we need to think about?! Well enough of that.

I will have to say that Robzombie has definitely kicked up this thread a few notches.:zombieglomp:
The weapon discipline that the military instills in you. The Marine Corps Rifleman's Creed isn't just for Marines, many soldiers take it that seriously too. Not saying that Angel was that hardcore but "My Rifle" is still a very personal thing.
So personal that even in video games, I had a hard time of it, dropping my rifle and picking up another weapon with more ammo. Wasn't even consciously doing it either. Until I started getting owned and realized what I was doing.
There is also the factor of zeroing the weapon. All the other rifles were either Mechanical Zeroed or zeroed to someone else. Sure, in theory, you can take your zero numbers and apply them to a new weapon, but it doesn't always work that way. My own zero has varied over time from rifle to rifle. Especially when I switched from shooting right to left handed. (6 Up & Center)
To properly zero a new/different rifle, or your own after significant repairs, you have to go to a known distance range with zero targets. There was plenty of time for this once the tower was secured, but initially, not so much.
I was in the army for 3 years, yet I still would have replaced a weapon that wasn't firing and possibly needed repairs that considering the circumstances (zombie apocalypse) I just wouldn't be able to do with one that just needed to be zero'd. I do get where you're coming from though and with that explaination I can forgive Angel now, but just a little bit. I can see where he initially may have thought it was just gummed up and would be fine after cleaning. (But did he clean it then while waiting in the armoury??? I don't think he did...bad bad soldier).
Edit: I forgot, I owe you another rep for that because it was a pretty good answer.
I think that was the point we were supposed to take from that whole exchange. Really differentiate the "good soldiers" in Michael and Saul with the Mr butter bars, Angel. It also set up more character development when they first worked on clearing the Tower lobby...
I really disliked Angel for the first few chapters. By the middle of Season 1, I liked him more...
Speaking of Season 1, here's a trivia question for some REP:
What saved Saul and Lady when the Hybrid was destroyed (preferable answer has a brand name)?
Robzombie got it! "a bottle of Middleton Whisky"
It's nice to see so many people remaining active during the series break. You guys are all good shit.
Good work everyone but there are some unanswered trivia questions remaining:
What is the significance of St Gabriel River?
Where do we see armour, infantry, and artillery all together?
What happens to the guy in the red cap?
What other than zombies can spread and get people worked up and panic?
What happened in Santa Monica around 10:30?
and I'm adding:
Who made it from Dunbar to the Colony?
Plus Turbos question thats been driving me crazy: Who is Cheryl?
