By being crumbled to the point of being an "it" more than a human being, being broken to the point of only being able to write things out, and then being shot in the face? He died a prisoner, he didn't get a blaze of glory like kalani or bill

His death counted though. It wasn't wasted, he bought Riley's life with his own. In the end he died as a solder defending someone defenseless. What better death could he have had? He died with honor "spitting" in the face of his enemy. In my books Angel died a bad ass.

My favorite quote

"For those I love I will sacrifice."

I think this fits Angel.

Well, now I'm sad. Way to crush hopes Kc! :P

My theory was that he was still alive, buy for different reasons. Namely, I just didn't think it was Angel, for two reasons: a) There was no speaking role, which seems a little unusual to take out a main character without some sort of that; and b) Scratch mentions Angel getting his face fixed. This is clearly an indivdual damaged beyond repair and recognition, and Scratch IDed him because he had a ring in his pocket. Of course, Kc could have just been playing it straight regarding the injuries, to give us a good description of why we probably didn't want Angel to live, cause he was messed up, and maybe the actor wasn't available. (Or maybe he was. Those gurgles sounded about the right octave. But, pah. No tearful Riley/Angel reunion. He was one of my fav chars, and I'll be sad to see him go! I do hope he gets a flashback, so we have a reason to get his whole story.

That being said Angel's last scene was superbly done! The writing instead of talking really added to the suspense!
