Hi everyone!
My name is Mandy, and I was born and raised in Pismo Beach, CA. I moved to Denver, CO in 2007. I work as a facilities specialist. I send people to fix issues in my companies stores all over the USA. My prior position was better setting up all security systems in all the stores. My mom has always been into horror films and the science fiction channel. I pretty much just like the walking dead and this. I have never even listened to a podcast before this. I'm only on chapter 12, but I love it!
Hi I'm Marc I'm 26 I love in Covington louis an I work for Florida marine, I spend 28 days at a time on the river and I have lots of down time I LOVE horror movies especially zombie films but I found we're alive on iTunes when I googled zombie podcast just to see what kind of results I would get and I stumbled across this amazing story and I've have been an addict ever since
Well here we go.
My names Martin (25) originally from Scotland (Glasgow) now though I live in a small village in N.Ireland with my partner and my 4 children.
Iv always had a love for zombies above all other (horror) creatures.
I work as a coffee barista in a small shopping center (mall) in the closest town to me (15 miles) I have a IQ of 164 and get bored rather easily thanks to WA iv been conentrating more on survival for myself and my family from the zombie threat lol.
If you want to know anything more feel free to drop me a message.
I'm still alive....Blaize (Martin)
Just saying Hi. I have been listening forever and just made an account after the last episode. I posted a comment there first so I guess I did this backwards but either way!! HELLO ALL!!!
Welcome to Mandy, Marc, Martin, and Gnex!!! Glad to have you on the forums :)
My name is Tony from deep down da bayou in Addis LA. Just happened across your podcast and listened to all 3 seasons in about 2 days!!! Can't wait for the new season. Lizzy sounds hot - makes sense since the voice talent working with her is hot. The Saul - Lizzy relationship annoyed me at first / now it's the most emotional story line. The writing got better as the show progressed. Well done!
Nice! My brother used to be stationed at Hill. He still works up in Ogden at Impact Guns now. I used to live in Idaho before Utah, pretty much all of the mountain states are one big playground for the outdoor enthusiast. I love taking the family hiking and camping. Plenty of places to fish and hunt. Rafting, snowboarding, backpacking, climbing, there is a bit of everything for sure.
I am not a drinker myself but the craft beer is a pretty big deal for sure (though I think it was even bigger in Boise, ID. I have a few friends who brew up there).
What took you to SC?
I've always been from SC. Worked out in UT as part of a project when I did DoD contracting. A whole different phase of my life.... :D
Haven't spent much time in ID but had some coworkers at another job who went there regularly to work with clients. They loved it except for when it was deep winter time....
My name is James. I found 'We're Alive' through another podcast. I heard the host of the other podcast mention how awesome it was and later decided to check it out. That was two months ago. Before that, I had never heard of the show. I absolutely love it.
Now, about me. I'm 41 and have lived in the Charlotte area for about eight years. I'm originally from a small steel town in Ohio that sits along the Ohio river. Yes, and it is a weird town, but not as weird as 'Hemlock Grove,' but similar.:) For those of you who don't know, 'Hemlock Grove' is an Eli Roth/Netflix production and is worth checking out. I currently work in a dungeon underneath the west end of the city. That's all I can really say about that, but hey, the pay is decent and so are the benefits. Its a job. Anyway, I'm a huge horror fan, but I'm also a huge fan of sci-fi and fantasy. But since this forum is about 'We're Alive,' I will stick with horror.
I've been a horror fan ever since I saw Vincent Price in 'House of Wax' on late night television at the age of five. I will admit, I've seen quite a bit of horror films through the years, from the worst B films to the top premium horror and everything in between. And with the advent of Netflix, I'm still getting caught up. I will say that throughout the 80s, I saw most of the major horror films either in the cinema or when they first hit VHS.
I was introduced to my first zombie film in 1984. My brother-in-law rented George A. Romero's 'Dawn of the Dead.' I was twelve and it scared the crap out of me, but I loved it and couldn't stop watching. I'd never seen gore like that in a film until then. That one hooked me, and got me interested in the zombie genre. Later that year, I went with my oldest brother and saw 'Return of the Living Dead' at the theater. Again, that one scared the crap out of me, but I kept going back for more. It was then, I knew how much of a dedicated zombie horror fan I was. I couldn't get enough zombie films. I had become part of the 'Romero' zombie culture when it began its ascent to popularity throughout the eighties and beyond.
Now, the current era blows my mind. I never thought the zombie culture would be so huge. I think its great! Some of the zombie/Romero purists hate it, but I think its awesome. I love 'The Walking Dead' and think its still one of the best shows on television. Who would have ever thought a zombie show would be so monumental?
Now, that brings me to 'We're Alive.' I can't say enough about how awesome this show is. And hey, it started before 'The Walking Dead.' Hence, another reason 'We're Alive' blew me away. I love its originality, concepts, writing, actors, and everything else in between. There are ideas and concepts brought to light in the show that are such a cool departure from the typical zombie film or series. This show and others like it (and I mean audio dramas) are cool because they hearken back to the days of the old radio shows of my grandparents' and great grandparents' era. Its great that we can bring that form of entertain back through a new medium. Look, I could go on and on. My point is, is that I'm thrilled to be here, and I can't get enough of the show. Great job guys!!
By the way, I think it gives some competition to 'The Walking Dead.' Does anyone agree? Also, has there been any talk about it being made into a television production? I think it would be a great show. Just curious.
I've said my piece and look forward to being part of this community.
My name is Rob. I'm a friend and co-worker of turbo. He introduced me to the podcast, and I'm really liking it. I've listened to about 7 chapters. As a musician and sound guy in my off hours, I really appreciate the amount of production work that goes into it. The writing and acting is top-notch too, and all of this keeps me listening. I got started here pretty late I guess, but I thought I'd say thanks for the great stories, and for making my commute a lot less boring.
Welcome Rob! :D now catch up!
My name is Ryan and after viewing the forums for a couple years now, I am finally getting involved. I Figure people might want to hear my non-sense.
Welcome, Ryan!
Hello fellow Zombie fans!:) My name is Makaylah, I'm 17 years old and I live in Texas! I'm very short for my age(4'8) but I love to play basketball!:O Most of my family are mechanics so I'm kind of a grease monkey!:$ My dream car is a 1967 Mustang or a 2010 Shelby Cobra Mustang. I listen to hard and classic rock when I'm bored(which is all the time) and I read when I'm sleepy, yeah I'm weird...who isn't? No I am not gothic or emo....I get impression all the time online just because I say I listen to hard rock. ahah!^-^ Linkin Park, Seether, Decyfer Down, Evanescence and Green Day would have to be my top 5 favorite rock bands.Steelers are my team! I know...I know....how can I love Pittsburgh when I'm in Texas!? Well....beats me! haha:D I love family! Its so important for family to stick together! That's me!:)
Welcome Makaylah!
Spudd Webb is 5'5 and he could dunk like a mofo, and had a brilliant career in the NBA. Don't let anyone ever tell you that you're too short to play the game.

Hi everyone, I just wondered onto the forums here, figured I'd say and let you know how I stumbled here.
My name is Jordan, I actually found my way here doing audio drama research for my own production company. The best way to learn is to listen after all =) But I quickly fell in love the show and have not been able to stop listening. Even now that I'm fully caught up, I started re-listening last night. Anywho, if you ever wanna talk about the show with me or anything I'm game =) I've noticed a lot of subtle things after starting to listen again, and have some theories I'm mowing over....anyways. Hi!
-Jordan
Hey everyone, just thought I'd pop in and finally introduce myself. Didn't want to straight away - been catching up with all the previous episodes 'cos I had to resist the temptation to check the wiki. Found the podcast purely by chance almost 2 weeks ago, and got hooked immediately. Can't wait to get involved with the community :)
Hello I'm pete from the uk and come across We're Alive about 1week ago and it awesome 😃
Found you at our online public library. thought it was just an audiobook. WOW! what a pleasant surprise. This is awesome! better than WATCHING the walking dead! Everytime I think you're about to go down the same crappy road as some of my favorite sci-fi TV shows, you fix what I'm about to complain about. Sooooo many times great shows get away from their good story lines and turn it into "as the world turns" or "here's the writers political agenda" but not you guys. Just when I'm thinking or rather beginning to think I'm sick of one or another character's love life and personal problems ...BAM more action. Great stuff guys!
although I am tired of that little beyatch scratch not getting her come uppance...LOL. Best stuff on the air, video or radio. And to think I thought the zombie thing had been done to death. I was wrong wrong wrong. Love the new guy Puck! reminds me of a character from the BIG RED ONE movie. Yeah I'm 53. The leg thing with CJ put me off a little tho that's just my own squeamishness and was hoping her character would go the way of bad ass asian beeyatch. Just the right mix of character development and sci-fi action along with some sci-fi mystery. Although for awhile I thought they were missing the obvious that someone was making the zombie/monsters. The numbers on the little ones was a dead give away. Just don't make the LOST mistake and never explain crap. WOW what a disappointment that show was. I know i keep comparing you to video but there is just nothing else in audio that comes close to something this good. I think this is better than TV, WAY better.
Having said all that I have one major complaint....I listened to the first 3 seasons in about 5 days now I have to wait for every week...LOL. Do you guys know my sister? I think she paid you to get even with me for watching all of 24 on disk in about 3 weeks after she spent years going week to week hehehe. Thanks for the best entertainment I've had in years. I'd tell you who my favorite characters are but I can't decide, love them all (except scratch...LOL, great character but we're supposed to hate her.
Hi
I'm just about done with chapter 32 of the podcast ... Really enjoying it as those that run the twitter account can probably attest to with me bugging/praising them all of the time !
I'm a huge zombie horror fan sooo after randomly noticing the podcast on iTunes I just had to check it out ... So glad I took that chance.
Just thought I'd follow the advice of the end of each episode and swing by here to discuss characters/plots with y'all. Hope I've not rambled too much, but I didn't want to head into the threads without introducing myself !
Love
Nina
Hi!
I'm Veronica. I live in the SF Bay Area, but my heart belongs in elsewhere. A friend of mine introduced me to We're Alive about a month ago and I'm hooked. Currently on Chapter 38 and looking forward to more.
Cheers!
Greetings Veronica, Nina, Pete, and LeafWolf60! Welcome to the fold. Glad youse all dropped in.
Hey everyone, my name is David and last week I "discovered" We're Alive. A friend of mine mentioned it when I asked her about interesting podcasts and I am so glad she did. Never before have I been so engrossed in a piece of fiction, and the take on zombies is such a breath of fresh air. I feel scared again when thinking of them. This show is truly unique and wonderful and mysterious.
I have lurked about the forums and LOVE reading everyone's theories. It took all of my willpower not to browse the forums before catching up but I finally did. So many interesting ideas here and everyone seems so friendly and willing to discuss. Thanks for this!
Hi! I'm Jen. New to the forum and the We're Not Dead podcast, but a long time listener to We're Alive. I am reading through a bunch of threads and have an idea i want to share, just looking for the right place to post! I'd hate to repost an idea someone has already mentioned! That seems like it would be a rookie mistake :)
My favorite We're Alive characters are Burt and Saul. I would be happy to team up with either of them in a zombie apocalypse because they are both tough but offer a bit of comic relief. Least favorite characters have been Kelly, Pegs, and Hope. Currently Hope is holding the #1 least favorite spot until she can stop whining a bit and do something useful :)
The only rookie mistake is not posting for fear of reposting. Jump in!
Oh hey! I just noticed that I levelled up to "Fresh Meat" status, but that I never actually introduced myself. So...hi! I found We're Alive via the IGN podcast (or maybe IGN UK podcast?), where one of the presenters described it very simply but engagingly. I jumped straight in, and at that point I think it was part-way through season 2. I was instantly hooked, and was caught up within a few days. I'm a gamer and a sci-fi fan, and love a good zombie movie, so We're Alive was (and is) perfect for me.
In the real world, I'm a medical information scientist, specialising in medicines information, particularly new drugs. That makes the recent stuff at Radon labs...fascinating.now I'm stuck in a weird limbo of being desperate to know how the story turns out, and being desperate for it not to be over - I'll be so sad when it's done!
Ahoy-hoy all,
My name is Kent and I hail from the great white north of Ontario, Canada.
If you don't know about Canada this about sums it up. Now that we got that out of the way, on to some more serious business.
At my last job I had an hour commute so to pass the time I began listening to some podcasts. After subscribing to a few different ones I started hearing about We're Alive. Around this time I had a colleague who was really into Zombies, so we would discuss it on a regular basis at work. He was really excited about The Walking Dead graphic novel being turned into a TV show and he started showing me some of the graphic novels (he keeps his set up to date). Then one night I had a zombie nightmare, it was way too real, I woke up out of breath and sweating.
So I swore off The Walking Dead and We're Alive. The last thing I wanted was to watch a zombie show right before bed, and I am a big believer in the saying that “the pictures are better on the radio” so We're Alive was out of the question. I heard the conversation that Kc, Blaire, and Greyson others did with Christoph Laputka and Nobi from The Leviathan Chronicles and that got me excited for the show, but I was still to afraid. Finally I was listening to either Radio Drama Revival, or The Sonic Society and they played Chapter 25-1. I though "okay I'll give it a try", and I was hooked.
I quickly shotgunned the series from the beginning and haven't looked back. The quality of the show from top to bottom is top notch, and the interaction of Kc, and the rest of the staff, actors, and everyone with the community is unbelievable. I've recently started listening to the We're Not Dead podcast, and decided to get on the forum as well.
So that's my story and I'm sticking to it...
My name is Brian and this Pod Cat is most amazing and from what I see and read so is this blog site.
Hi Everyone
Hope all is going well in the colonies, found the podcast on iTunes a couple of weeks ago and just got up to date, just downloading the latest episode as I type....
As you can see I'm from the UK , about 5mins drive from Stonehenge ......
What always strikes me is how well the US can cope with a zombie outbreak, as you naturally have a lots of guns and stuff kicking about ...... Sporting goods stores , armed police etc......
Don't think most of us in England would last 5minutes ..... We could shout some harsh words......:o
Anyway really enjoying the show :)
Take care
Jim
Hey everyone.
Been listening for about six months now (2.5X through), creeping on the forums for about a months or so. My name is Matt, I'm 29 and stationed in Virginia. Love the characters, actors, writing, music, it's an all around knock out! Makes driving and cleaning the house almost enjoyable!
Guess i better do this, since i haven't and i've been here a bit!
Hey guys, my name is Gabi (i am a boy before you start....), aged 18 as of now, and living in England! (woo...) I am pretty much the average gamer and techie, spending most of my time on my laptop when i get bored from real life...
I first found this podcast on iTunes in the middle of February 2013 while doing A2 level coursework for school (fun times) and i instantly fell in love with the series (think i listened to it around 8/9 times in 4 months....yea....)
What do i love the most about We're Alive? The fact that it's got such top quality too it, and it's produced pretty damn professionally. I also love the story and characters (a little too much; i nearly shed a tear when Lizzy was kidnapped....) and keep wanting to hear more after each episode.
Hello everyone! My name's Joey, I'm 33y/o and I currently live in Cleveland, Ohio with my wife, my four month baby and two boxer dogs. I was introduced to WA via buzzfeed and just listened to the very first episode and its great. I consider myself a writer, currently reworking a short screenplay, and this podcast will be a nice escape from everyday life and my own writing ideas.
hello all .... joining fresh the board and looking more out of the forum topics to discuss upon with the gathering of the fellow members
It doesn't matter who I say I am because I may be lying. I might be some 38 year old man who hides children in his basements and breeds with them. But, to make me feel better, my name is Nacole. I'm 17, and I'm not a child molester.:zombie:
Welcome to everyone new :)
