We're relatively close.....so if Z day does happen, we can easily meet up. I'm prepped and decided to bugout until the coast is clear then head up North, to Wisconsin and hole up at Holy Hill. Have you ever heard of that place? it's PERFECT.

Hi there, Angie!
Hello folks, I'm Sgt. Draino. I am a Lost super-fan (though not a fan of the way it ended), and also a fan of all things zombie. I have a background in law enforcement, and am presently assigned to Station 7 of the Dharma Initiative. I host a podcast called "Station 7 - The Door," which started off doing Lost back in January of 2010, shortly before Lost Season 6 aired. Since that time we also cover The Walking Dead while it is airing, and during the off-season we do a Lost rewatch project called LOST: The Search For Answers, in which we try to identify all the unsolved mysteries of Lost, what possible answers to each mystery are, and then poll our audience to determine what the most popular answer to each mystery is. We are presently just finishing up Season 4.
I listen to most of The Walking Dead podcasts out there, and found out about We're Alive through one of them (I think it was "The Walking Dead 'Cast.") I've really enjoyed the story (my favorite character is Burt), and have also enjoyed We're Not Dead, with Buttseks McGee and some guy. Looking forward to the rest of the season.
If there are any Lost fans around here interested in weighing in on the mysteries of Lost, please contact me! I'd love to have your views on our show, and to have your votes on the many polls addressing the mysteries.
Hi hanniekuma I'm trying to find my way around the site. It's good to meet you:) I've just downloaded season one so I can catch up, so I'm looking forward to listening to it tonight.
:)
It's an easy site to navigate....but it's hard not to explore more because I haven't caught up to the current season yet. Plot spoilers are pretty rare here, but I did ruin something for myself in a thread about a character's occupation. I've been doing the responsible newbie thing and staying away from current topics and reading older threads, expecially in the Everything Else section...talk of books, music, art,
Good to meet you too :) You'll enjoy it. I was hooked.
I got a few coworkers to download Season 1 also. Maybe for Halloween, we can dress up as our favorite characters. I've got some army fatigues . lol
First, welcome angie66! Hope you enjoy it! :)
Second:
So that's why you haven't been back to that thread! Sorry that it got ruined, but it wasn't in too much detail, I hope.
Oh no worries. It was my fault completely. I should have stuck to the other forums that didn't discuss characters, episodes, etc. Seriously..that's what I get for being too eager in posting....I should have stayed in stealth mode a bit longer, or at least until I caught up with y'all.
I am pretty impressed by the site and how friendly it is, and how CAREFUL everyone is with newbies, encouraging us to catch up so that we can get into deeper discussions.
Having said that, I'm glad I came out of stealth mode. You guys are great. Zombie love!!!
Welcome aboard,
I hope you have a great time out here and enjoy the time.
Hello my name is alan I am from Texas found pod cast through google looking up a variety of drama cast podcast I have one question when are the new episodes played what day time etc can someone please help send a message so I dont interrupt the forums other discussions thanks alan
Hi guys...Soooooo let me just say...I loathe audible books/podcasts. They usually suck and I can't past the first 5 mins. Well...Well...Well....if I was rich I swear I would invest a hefty portion of my money into the production company who handles this podcast. THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!!So awesome that I am listening to it from the beginning for a second time (until the new episodes comes out). I literally have missed a few things just in the first 3 chapters that I didn't hear or missed in the beginning. I love reading about Zombies and other things like Vamps etc....but this was a great find on itunes...I have a long commute in the morning and evening and I can't even tell you how this has been a great joy to listen too. It literally has taken me through the emotional changes between the characters and events happening throughout the storyline. Thanks for putting faith back into audible literature again. YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!!!:yay:
Hey Everyone,
I'm James, 28 from Northern Ireland. This is the first forum I've ever joined but it nearly seemed necessary after listening to We're Alive. I've only been listening for 3-4 days. Listened to the first 3 seasons in 2 day and have started to make my way through the 'We're Not Dead' podcasts.
I wouldn't say I was big into Zombie stuff before this. I've always liked Zombie films etc but this show has really sparked my interests. I'm so glad I joined in the middle of a season. I would be so annoyed if I listened to all the past episodes and then had to wait to hear more.
Looking forward to talking to all of you.
James
The names Clayton, I'm 32 years old, I work in the oil industry and I've been listening for.....im not sure how long exactly, a couple of years I know. I used to keep it a secret and didnt think anyone else would understand my obsession, but this past year I was able to get a few of my co-workers into it and now I don't keep it a secret. Kinda' upset with myself that I'm just now getting on here given the news of this being the end of the road.
Beckie and julian, really dont do zombies in any shape or form but was introduced to this by a friend, listened to first 4 chapters on way home from wiltshire to cornwall and that was it, we are now hooked!!!! just ordered season 123 so cant wait for them to come:))
Long time listener since the end of Season 2. Thank you Were Alive for helping me though my work day! Believe it or not, I can get a lot of work done with the adrenaline this podcast conjurs.
I've been steady listening to the seasons over and over again since I got into a short time ago. The other day, I thought I left my player at home and almost had a meltdown thinking that I'd have to spend my workday without We're Alive. Thank goodness, my player fell to the bottom of my purse!
I don't think I can work w/out We're Alive, now.
Yes, Welcome everyone! I'm a newbie too and I love it here
Problem solved. I'll never be w/out We're Alive again! I was cleaning out a drawer and found an old mp3 player , nothing fancy, but has tons of space. It's officially my We're Alive storage that I will keep at work so I'll never EVER be without it again. :)
Hi, I am a 45 year old mom of 3. I am not actually a Zombie fan. I found this podcast when I was searching my library web page for an audiobook. I read that it was a radio drama and this sparked my interest. I enjoyed listening to old time radio dramas with my dad while growing up. The complete first season was available to borrow through Overdrive, so I gave it a listen. I was hooked.
I wanted to share that your story is reaching beyond the normal Zombie fan range. I joined the forum while looking for more episodes. I will be returning to download episodes until the story is complete. I may not post again because I rarely spend time on forums, but keep up the good work! Thank you
Hi! My name is Bryan, or you can call me Angus or my username, whatever works for you. I live in Carlisle, AR and now am currently unemployed T-T. I love horror, gore, table top games, and writing. I aspire to have my own estate one day and be able to be self sufficient but that doesn't seem to be for awhile. I broke the family tradition of military enlistment by not joining for the first time in 5 generations. Haha, I've got cousins and relatives in EVERY branch from reserves to full enlistment. I found this place by way of Google. If I am to be honest, I was searching to see if there were any zombie based podcast out there because I didn't want to infringe on anyone's idea with my own. But I have listened to the first 2 parts now and I think it's gonna be a lil while longer before I get back on track XD.
Hey, folks. Totally new to the forum. I plowed through the whole series in about a week after finding out about it through Nerdist. Now I'm making my way through We're Not Dead (finished the first 8 episodes so far). :)
After being able to start another episode right after finishing one, waiting for the next one to be released is painful. It's even worse when it's a short teaser episode like 38-2. I know the story is more about the living than the living dead, but episodes like this remind of the derisive nickname for the Walking Dead - the Talking Dead. ;)
ADDENDUM: I see that most post has been moved to a more appropriate place. Sorry for mucking up the boards. Newbie mistake.
I also note that the posts that precede mine in its new place include some personal details that I completely omitted. So, to correct that: I'm a 36yo husband and father of 3, a boy aged 5, a boy almost 4, and a girl 2.5. I very recently earned a PhD in intelligent systems. That should cover the basics. :)
Welcome to the forums Funky!! Glad to have you!
What's goin on everyone? I'm Shaggers, been listening for a few months after a friend recommended me knowing I'm an avid zombie fan. I ripped through the first two seasons pretty fast, then realized I should slow it down to try to acclimate myself for when I catch up. Right now I'm on chpt. 32. I've also been listening to the We're Not Dead podcast to try to slow my pace down even more. But yeah...best damn podcast I've ever listened to.
Welcome Shagger! Glad to have you on the forums!
Schooling got in the way so I ended up forgetting about it haha. It popped up on facebook about a new season and brought me back.
He forgot about it. Forgot.
My apologies. It won't happen again. haha
:D
Welcome aboard! Enjoy the fuck out of your stay, and the final season. Get in on the conversations before everyone gets thrown out for bad behaviour!
I'm looking at you, grognjuiejfiarfiik.
Hi folks,
I was just browsing the internet about zombies and came across this forum.
So decided to give it a shot and become a member. My name is Kathe and i am looking forward to a great stay here.
Greetings fellow Alive resident of planet Earth. In the day I am Dr. Daniel Jekyll. At night, I'm Mr. Hyde (no first name, my parents lack imagination... "can anyone guess what movie that line is from?). I'm a scientist working for a pharma in Mass. I have LIVED and worked many places, including NM, NY, MD, and CT. I currently have a 90 min commute to work, so I listen to a lot of podcasts. Discovered this one a few months ago, and am loving it. Catching up, I'm in the middle of season 2 now.
Welcome to the looney bin, Jekyll/Hyde. :)
I am a long time listener first time poster! I'm usually not big on forums and stuff, but I couldn't resist anymore.
So HI! I'm Mallory, from Louisiana! I work in the medical billing field, currently working on trying to find a better job over in Houston, Texas. I listen to podcasts all day, and as you can tell by my nickname everywhere (Podcastitute) I am a big podcast promoter too. I also do my own podcast about gaming and nerdy things. I am a big xbox gamer and slowly getting back into PC gaming. I prefer RPG games but I will pick up an FPS or two along the way. I'm not really good at this whole "talkin about yourself" stuff, so I'll spare y'all the pain of me stumbling through all this. I'm glad I finally got off my anti-social behind and jumped on here. :)
Welcome aboard buddy,
I hope you have a great time here and enjoy the stay.
I've been posting on here for a little while now so I guess I better introduce myself now haha
My name is Greg and I currently reside in Utah just outside of Salt Lake City. I have been many places though, born in Great Lakes, IL; grew up in Laguna Hills, CA (not too far from where the show takes place which is cool because I know some of the areas they talk about; lived in Mexico for a few years, Utah for a few years, Idaho for a few years, and now back to Utah again. Who knows where is next? :-)
I have been listening to the show since near the end of season 3. My brother told me about the show and I was a little skeptical at first but I think by the end of the 2nd or 3rd episode I was hooked.
I am a firearms enthusiast, an Eagle Scout, interested in anything to do with survivalism and self reliance, and just now getting introduced to the whole zombie culture.
I am very analytical and tear apart movies and stories like crazy so this forum is awesome for sharing thoughts on the episodes.
Last thought, I LOVE THE SHOW and look forward to it every week!!
Welcome to all the fun, Unit!
I used to work regularly up near Ogden at Hill Air Force Base. It's been a while but do recall how awesome the area was for getting outdoors and doing stuff. Really loved it in the summer when we could go climbing and hiking. I recall some great places to get craft beer in that area back in the 90's (they didn't call it craft then, of course).
Hello from Ashland, Kentucky! A place where very few (if any) know exists.
Little about me. Merlin1274 convince me to come here and say "HI" so...blame him.
I am a gunsmith, for the love of guns and for the pennies.
I am typically not a fan of anything "zombie," I'm not even a fan of the Walking Dead, but i do love this. Especially while working around my shop or reloading ammunition.
Welcome Tactical.. Glad to see you come by. Now time for lots of reading and Conspiracies..
