Welcome Mick!
Hi Guys and girls.
47 year old from New Zealand. Married with 2 monsters... I mean great young pre high school kids:)
I found Were Alive purely by accident while browsing on itunes one day.
Im not too sure what this forum is all about - apart from the obvious audio drama. I was pointed in its direction by a another forums fellow member.
I've always enjoyed most Zombie / Post apocalyptic genre. This podcast makes my long drives more bearable. Great acting and easy to visualize the scenes.
My favorite audio drama by far.
I am also reading and enjoying The Island by Michael Stark, on iPhone. Almost finished now sadly
Edit: I also have 2 bird catchers (cats) the let us live in their house : Jazzy-cat and Fat-Jaxx.
I'm aka "snowkiwi" on EDC forums
Hey Bear! Welcome to the forums.
I am Hope and before I found this I pod I will tell you that I did not like anything with zombies. When I first herd this pod cast that changed very quickly because of all of the action and hard work put into bringing this story to life I love it.
Oh yeah, huge firefly fan!
As for things to do, head on over to the main page and look for the sections called "Episode Discussions", "Theories", and "The Characters". That's where the meat of all the show discussions are (and there are some good ones!). Below those on the main page, you'll find links to other topics, some about the show, some about the Zombie/Post apocalyptic genre, and some completely different non-related topics.
The Wiki (tab up at the very top) has a wealth of info on all things "We're Alive" and is worth checking out.
And if you haven't found the "We're Not Dead" podcast yet, it's worth a listen. Check the main page of zombiepodcast.com to get links to it.
Enjoy the forums!
Glad this zombie story does it for you and glad you found the forums. Don't know if it's the same for you but the other element that draws me in, beyond my love for zombies, is the puzzle aspect, the fact there is so much to figure out. My take on zombies and I'm only saying this because you say you don't typically like zombies is that zombies represent most every type of survival-able disaster you could possibly face rolled into one. So most likely if you can survive zombies you can survive every underlying disaster type.
Hi guys I'm Peter I'm from Hampshire in the uk
I've bin listening to W A for awhile now I love all the caracters and get lost in the story every episode, can't wait for the next one and see what'll happen.
Welcome to the forums Cesar.
Hey! Im Phill First time posting, long time listener. I'm pretty sure I started listening some time in 2011 shortly after start of season 1.(might be wrong on the start). But loved the story and characters right off the bat. After each season I would go back and listen again episode after episode, which caused great arguments between the misses and me, ( you know the hole, " how the hell can you be listening to me with those damn earphones in you ear all the time." We'll shortly before start of season 4, I decided to play the start of season 1 on the big stereo wile she was doing some stuff around the house. Honest truth, 2 episodes later she jacked my iPhone and head phones and is blazing through episodes. Thanks We're Alive my house hasn't been so quiet.
Hi,
I kinda stumbled on this site while looking for zombie stuff. I designed a zombie card game and prior to that was really into zombies. Since designing the game and starting the Kickstarter I've been really digging in and searching for new zombie related stuff to inspire me for new cards and so forth and so I found this site (and from there there facebook page, etc).
Looking forward to immersing myself in this whole thing a bit more!
Thats awesome. I haven't been able to get my wife to become a dedicated listener yet but I'm still trying. Welcome aboard.

Greetings! My name is Johanna, I'm older than most of you, and stumbled upon the We're Alive series whilst looking for young adult books to research. I'm finishing up Season 2 while I work at my regular daytime gig in a cube farm. It's not that bad, though, I can listen to music, audio books and We're Alive while I keyboard my life away. My coworkers are getting used to me yelling out things like " WHAT??", "GET OUT!!!!", and "Um, KISS him already." ha. ( and most recently when it happened, I said outloud " FINALLY!") I look forward to catching up on more episodes and bonding with my fellow zombie fans. Thanks for being here!
Chris here from the UK - been on forum for a while just never posted - listened since midway through season 1 - I love the fact that each episode is uploaded just in time to listen on my drive home from work, makes Mondays worthwhile.
Have also managed to get a group of mates as addicted as I am. Not sure what I'll do after this season ends though , probably start from the beginning again ,I'm sure (won't be for the first time).
In the meantime I'll just sit back and enjoy the ride.
well hi, i'm evan. in early july 2013 i was bit by a nasty looking zebra colored hornet and got a tissue infection spreading from my wrist to my hand and up to the shoulder. i was hospitalized for 3 days, and getting bored in that bed. my cousin recommended WA to me via fb. I've been listening ever since. a little bio, i am the 2nd oldest of almost 11 kids all from the same lady(i post that last part because that ? comes up alot). in my free time i like to try to do some woodworking or little building projects but i suck at it and scrap the whole thing. i also game on 360- l4d2, BO zombies(any mode), etc. i want to attend college next year somewhere near california, and i would say why or about which schools have the better education or majors or some crap, but i just want to be down there for comic con and hollywood . thats it adios
Welcome to the forums Johanna, Chris and Evan!
I'm Kary, I'm a big The Walking Dead fan. One of my Twitter TWD friends mentioned this podcast, and I started listening.
Welcome y'all!
Thank you, Jannit!
Welcome to the community,
Have a great time out here and enjoy the stay.
I keep forgetting to comment on this thread, although I get all excited whenever I see that someone new has moved in! :D
A big ol' welcome to everyone from Alberta, Canada eh!
(Joke never gets old)
Welcome to all the new folks. Good to have you in here. I look forward to seeing your posts all over the forum. Make sure you hit up the Theories threads and the Episodes threads. A whole lot of good stuff going on in there....
Seconding this with one minor change. It's "eh?" not "eh!" The typical use of "eh?" is at the end of a sentence when you're requesting someone's agreement, approval or validation of your statement, thus it must be used in a questioning manner with the vocal inflection raising towards the end. Don’t go confusing our American neighbors and the rest of the world, Alizee! If they’re going to mock us, they at least need to know how to do it properly. ;)
All kidding aside, welcome! :D
Hi I'm Angie 66 and I found this site through goodreads. I've loved zombie books and movies for years and this is a great way for me to meet other zombie apocalypse fans,
