Ok on to the real stuff, I was under the impression that when Angel went to OCS he went to a 4 year collage with a ROTC program where they drill leadership into them each and every day. I didn’t take into consideration that they Army does allow people who already have a college degree to go to boot camp and then take a few week long class and get put in charge of people so I probably was wrong with that statement.
To clarify what I meant when I was talking about the security force clearing the tower and everyone else staying on station I was using what the Navy does. In the event of a security breach either on board or on the pier the ship goes to security alert and everyone on board freezes on station and only certain pre-assigned individuals head down to the Armory, get armed up and respond to the situation. This way you don’t have people moving all over the place and you can better control the situation at hand. Angel fell back on his training just like the Security forces we use fall back on their training and everyone else stays on station.
We can sit here and “argue” for the lack of a better term about what they should and shouldn’t do, but I think it boils down to is the tower needs some real military leadership from some senior enlisted folks such as you and I (Hard to tell in your pick but you’re an E-6 right?) or a seasoned Officer.
