I do believe that you are technically correct. In the episode I believe Tanya put in a picc line (an IV) and injected the antibiotics into the IV bag instead of directly into Saul's body via a shot.
I think turbo was going for the "using a needle for medications" as Saul being "shot"... So it's at least close.
