Not sure if this has been talked about before, but in a recent relisten it dawned on me. Randy bit Datu so he could read the symbols. If he had not done that, no way they would have won against Ink. Also it was payback for Michael not killing Randy.

Interesting idea. 7oddisdead would have had something to say about that.
I haven't been on the forums for years, so I assume it has been talked about. I hope so, anyways. It makes sense. It helps the theory of Randy being a semi good creature.
I always saw the act of Randy biting Datu as vengeance for not doing what he asked. "You didn't stop my pain, so I'm going to make people you care about suffer."
But more likely, Randy saw a bit of himself in Datu and thought that he would make another good "smart one" addition to Ink's army.
When Michael's telling Datu about Randy, he does say something along the lines that he wouldn't be surprised if Randy did it to get back at Michael, considering there might be a bit of Randy left in him. So I thought it was out of vengeance. But the theory that Randy did it to help Michael is interesting.
I think this is one of the most important information for me. And I'm glad to read your article. Thanks for sharing TalkToWendys.
