About Aerock

Biography:

I graduated from high school in 1999 with no real plan. I was going to join the Army as an active duty enlisted soldier, but I decided to go to Old Dominion University instead. I ended up partying my butt off for four years; in 2003, the college funds started diminishing. I signed up for the Army and later on that fall, they pulled me out of school to go to Iraq for 13 months. Fall 2005 was my first semester back at Old Dominion in two years, but I reached a couple of interesting forks in my road. I took some time off to get my life back in order and I returned briefly in Fall 2009 to finish what I started and was on my way to getting a Bachelor of Science degree in human services. I took another break to work full-time in the Virginia Army National Guard and earned a promotion to staff sergeant (E-6). In June 2011, I deployed to Iraq again in support of Operation New Dawn and finished that tour of duty later that year in December. I came home two days before my daughter Adelynn Renae was born. As of November 2012, I earned the position of Senior Scout in my Cavalry Platoon in the National Guard. Also, I currently work for the Department Of the Navy as a contractor at Naval Station Norfolk and part-time at one of my local comic shops.
