Michael Cross Hero or hose head? Part deux of character exploration. SPOILER?

Ok spoiler disclaimer and junk.. yada yada.. blah.. don't read in further etc.. You get the point right?











Number two on my list of what constitutes the essence of a well written 3d, balanced character I think is the most important of the 3.
Mary Sue or for male characters Larry Sue

Is Michael Cross a Larry Stu?
Lets explore and answer the following listed "Sue like" identifiers
1. Is he always right?
2. Does he have superhuman powers? Such as super intelligence, super strength, super good looks?
3. Does he always save the day?
4. Does he have a unbelievable tragic past?
5. Is Michael Cross Kc?
6. Does Michael Cross have luck with the ladies?


1. No Michael is not always right. In fact, he has been wrong on multiple occasions and nearly gotten himself, as well as the people of the tower killed.
2. Is Michael super human? No there has been no evidence at this time that he can fly, preform magic, leap a behemoth with a single bound or cure cancer. In his defense though, he is smart but he worked for his intelligence and earned all the benefits that comes with it.
Is Michael Cross good looking? yes but as only a physically fit man can be and having Jim Gleason as his voice is well how to put this tactfully.. Jim Gleason's voice is incredible. I could spend hours listening to him just read my shopping list.

3. No he doesn't save the day because he is only a normal mortal man. He does save what he can with the help of his friends and some luck.

4. The death of his parents is tragic. But no more tragic then the lives of anyone of us.

5. Michael Cross is not K.c. and K.c. is not Michael The only similarity they share that I can figure out is the military but any good author will write what they know.. learn what you don't and write that too.

6. Dear God no Michael does not have luck with the ladies. Pegs had to drag him practicality kicking and screaming into the bedroom at the beach house. . The whole relationship with Pegs and Michael has been a delightfully frustrating tease. I have loved it!
