lol too true, in fact the first thing they teach you in the french army is how to say "I SURRENDER!" in 10 languages
I know what you mean about differences in nationality in training. My brother was selected to train Polish military in advanced hand to hand and told me it was nuts how he walked through them. They didn't have a clue
this crew are american a mix of marines and army 1 seal and 2 airforce though I'm tempted to make Survivor another nationality though just for evil sake
oddly enough nationality makes a REAL big difference, a buddy of mine was in a marine anti-terror unit and told me he went to train some egyptian military, and they didn't even know how to use the sights on their guns
all nationalities or is it just a US armada? what degree of training do they have, basic infantry (grunts, cannon fodder, etc) advanced (rangers, airborne, force recon, etc) or unholy ammounts of training (green berets, SEALS, MARSOC)
They all have training. The remains of the world's population is on an armada of military ships at sea Its combined forces. (all branches of the service )
so it's not an organized military unit, just a group of volunteers? do they have any military training?
I'm using you, Re1n, survivor and my oldest son as the group that evacs the doctor out of seattle in the story your "persona" and my son figure out the good dr has a busted radio and his location. btw the story is called The high place. Its a dark angel reference if you didn't know.. Not like that is important but its 7 am and I'm awake so your stuck listening to me ramble LOL.. the rest of the group are young men that agree to go with them.
if they're going in then you want a 6-8 man team, 2 on point, 2 in the rear, 2-4 in the middle. the 2 in the middle need suppressing weapons (M249 SAW and M240B) you will need 2 door gunners and 2 pilots. minimum of 10 men for the pick up. you could also have 4 men who stay with the helo and pull security for the extraction. basically they would chill in the chopper until they get word that the team is coming out then they get out (staying clear of the door gun) spread out, and make sure the area stay's clear of threats. final tally is 10-16. if you are going to focus a lot on the team getting him out (you know developing their characters and what-not) then you'll want to keep the count to about 10, if they're just going to be some names in helmets, then you can do the full 16 man compliment.
