Thanks for your input! I had not considered either of those scenarios as I was working through my crystal ball... Angel is certainly starting to get more in field experience now, which could lead to him taking control. I'll save how exactly I think it will happen for another blog post, but I do think Angel will take charge eventually. He's just got a few things to work out first before he can be an effective leader for the Tower, most notably Lizzy who would rather throw him off a balcony than accept him as the boss. I'm going so low on my Tower percentages because I haven't the foggiest clue how much time we will spend at the Tower and how much we'll spend at the Colony. We know there's plot developing at the Colony which one can attempt to apply some logic to, while the Tower has just completed a huge objective, and wrapped up a storyline so it's hard to guess exactly what will happen next. For all we know, Angel and Kalani will get ambushed on the way back to the Tower by the Mallers who steal all the M.R.E.s, but then agaain they have an uneventful trip back and rejoin the Tower. I don't think that Angel is ready for command yet, but I think that after getting out into the field and seeing some real action and taking charge of the situation that his officer training is going to kick back in and he's going to start questioning Burt's command more. One of my first grumbles last year sometime was, "Got to wait another 7 days for the next episode... " and then, "When is the new season going to get here?" Well, sir I tell you now, that wait being the worst part about following the We're Alive story is perhaps the best part of the story. In food terms this format keeps me from gorging. Drinking terms I am able to stay at the bar for ages rather than being drug out by my two cousins (thumps head with acknowledgment, "That's why I quit drinking!). 10yrs proud. Yep, the Vamp in recent past, has certainly lost its overall appeal - Primarily amongst male hetro audiences presumably - Although films like '30 days of night' aren’t too bad, especially if you ignore the love angle and focus on the pure carnage, the Vampires came across as fairly bestial, spraying meat and gore all over the place, you could tell they were feeling happy about themselves, much akin to that of a kid chewing a chocolate crayon in a sandpit... I suppose it’s authors like Anne Rice, Charlaine Harris and whatnot who have churned at creating creatures that are more likely to be decadent pansies snuffing the white stuff holding hankies and crap rather than creating some kind of hardened sewer dwelling beast rendering tooth and claw - The androgyny, the dilemma of eternal sufferance, the whiney teenage Gothic angst, the surfacing of homo erotic fantasies that seem to consistently seep into every chapter, always keeping us at the edge of climactic yet confusing heartache.. All becomes a bit tedious. Anyway leading away from the topic.. You’d think it would be fairly logical to assume that if Vampires did decide to just go hard (as in initiate a mass invasion) and essentially take over the world, you’d think due to their ability to ‘think’, they would have a far greater success rate….
