ok so i heard that wormwood was a really good audio drama in our thread for other audio dramas we listen to, so i gave it a shot, and season1 was amazing! i absolutely loved it, season 2, ehhhhhh its good, but there were a lot of characters that i couldnt stand at all, so i ended up skipping a few scenes, so could someone please help me out and answer a few questions i have about wormwood? cause i cant find any useful forums on wormwood, or at least none that would give me the answers i needed.

1. Is Jimmy Details dead? did hank mason kill him? if he did that would suck! i really liked the sparrow/jimmy couple, opposites attract

2. What happened to the Sheriff? he still alive? ( i skipped a number of episodes, cause a few voice actors' voices really get on my nerves)

u know what could someone give me an explanation of the second half of the season 2? thanks i'm so confused as to wahts going on, and i dont have time to go back and re listen, and the mystery is killing me

thanks

Jimmy Details was killed but Sparrow wrote him back alive when she was writing the history of ...everything.
The Sheriff is also still alive. He and the gay government dude made up and the deputy dude was hired back on with the sheriff. Gay dude went back to government job.

Uhm...

Basically a lot of crap happened? I can skim them over the week and give a wrap up if no one else does before I get to it. <3

I didn't mind the acting so much except for the zombie voodoo guy and the ...freaky weird antiques collector dude with the twin nieces.

Ok i just finished season 3 revelations. So the story is over now i take it? Ok well im even more confused than ever. Does sparrow pretty much rewrite the entire history of the world? How does that even work? Wouldnt that kinda thing take years? Oh well petty details, speaking of details so sparrow rewrites jimmy back into existence in her version of the history? Also, does rachel just move on? Just like that? What was the entire point of jacob and rachel in the story anway? And what happened to the muddyman? And who was that creeper antique dealer

And is there any forum that really goes into depth about wormwood? Ive been looking around and thenones ive found havent given me any good exPlanations on whats going on

I know, Rachel was awesome, and the note she left Jacob about killed me. I am UBER pissed at the jimmy details scenario. They should have left him as the martyr. He was the hero at one point, then he was "written" back into existance. BOOOOOO!!!! And that retard chick that bought a hand of glory off eBay?? Really, nobody is that fucking dumb. And the GD lycanthropes, I bought the magic part, the muddy man, demons, hell even to a lesser the stupid ass vampires, but come one.

yeah that rachel thing was devastating. there's just sooooo much death at the end, it was ridiculous, it's like almost all the characters i liked died,.

i kinda wish there was more to the sparrow jimmy thing, they were fun together, just total opposites of each other

it just didnt feel like much of an ending to me, it was just like ohhh great the world is worse than when we started, everyone's dead, what good came of all that, after i listened to the last episode i was like, wait thats it? ITS OVER?!? ughhhh hated the ending

I hear ya!! And what the hell happened to the muddy man?? was he actually the demon?? I totally agree with the ending part, It was less of an ending, and more of an intermission.

And I took a look at their forums, saw you trolling around there. That place is deader than Hank Mason.

I got about half way through Season 1 and I haven't been back to listen in a while. The production and acting is fine but to me the plot is dragging. When does it pick up? I like the guy with the accent. I don't think I would have gotten as far in the story if not for him.

if ur not into it by season 1, then it's prly better just to leave it alone, it ends in heartbreak :(

Revolver,

YEAH! it's like the muddyman just dissapeared or something!

you know what else i dont get, the ending part where sparrow rewrites everything, does that mean she rewrote all the world's history? and made it the way she wanted it to be? but wouldnt that take like hundreds of years, and like millions of sheets of paper?

and what about the season 2 ending, wehre crow and sparrow die? what was with that?

hahah yeah i went to take a look at their forums, and it's just a bunch of cialis/viagra ads it really sucked. when we're alive ends, we have to make sure that we organize the thread's so that there are explanations for everything that are really easy to find, and maybe lock down all the threads, so we dont just get spammed, i mean like a year or two after the show ends i dont think anyone will still be on here, but for the newcomers to show who dont understand something we should make it as clean as we can. that wormwood forum was a total mess, you couldnt tell a damn thing from it.

IMO, the first season was the best. second season really dragged and then started to get silly. Then they did the "five fingers" thing that bored me to tears, then you have to sit thru the portraits. which in it's own right was ok. then we have the crap-fest called season 3. (annoyed groan)

Yea, it was something about if existance is a thing about a thing and not just a thing.....ooops, my head just started to hurt.

Were those girls supposed to be the nieces?? And did he try to re-birth them using sparrow??

Well, the huge diffrence is that all the work that KC and all of us have put into this site to make it what it is. They didn't have a Wiki or mods and admins that keep up with everything. I hope that KC can turn a profit on this wonderful podcast and keep it going.

After listining to wormwood, it really makes you appreciate WA. I remember hearing gunshots in wormwood and it sounded like muddy footsteps. WA you can hear the diffrence in each gun.

yeah i ddnt really understand the ending, part of the reason i went to their forum, lotta good that did...
it really makes you appreciate how amazing our forum is, their's was crap, prly cause of the aforementioned lack of mods, and admins

DEFINITELY! i remember there was one scene in particular, where the lack of narration just made it look ridiculous, it was when the werewolves were fighting the old vampire and jacob and his magic gun, and it was just a bunch of grows and snarls, and a gun shot here and there, like W/A action scene's are sooo amazing, just really vivid, and descriptive, and you can tell exactly what's going on, yeah i hear ya it really makes you appreciate how good we're alive is.

hopefully kc start's turning a profit and we'll make it through the story as its meant to be told.

Hey folks!

Stumbled across this forum, and didn't even realize there was a conversation about Wormwood happening.

As one of the co-creators of the show, I just wanted to add to this thread, and thank you for giving Wormwood a chance, and then to address a couple things:

1) We shut down our forums. They were good forums when they started, but as with many things, spam started to creep in, and eventually it was just too much work to maintain while we moved on to other projects. We also felt that we were getting much better more direct interaction via Facebook. So that's where we direct people to go to talk about Wormwood now.

2) yes, there were a lot of deaths. But no lives were taken without a lot of thought. You may not agree with them, but we did our best to make them worthwhile. In the case of "what's the point?" with Rachel -- it was never going to be a happy ending. She started the show dead. Jacob was alive. Thus, the themes for Rachel and Jacob were about letting go and moving on. Coming to an understanding and making grown up choices. We see it as: some people have trouble moving forward, especially when it's time to leave high school and move into your next stage of life. Wormwood sort of amplified all that, but in the end, one was alive and one was dead, and they each had the responsibility to go on to the thing they had to do next.

3) Yes, Sparrow wrote a lot. Of course, you can compress a lot of stories. Who is to say that the history of the world before you were born isn't just a story? If you didn't experience it directly, it essentially IS just a story you've been told. ;) But really, I just say that because those were the themes we played with -- creation and the abstraction of language. Sorry if it didn't work for some. :)

4) We like our werewolves. We like our campy, slightly over-the-top characters. They were a blast to write, a blast to record, and while we know it's not for everyone, we have no regrets. So we thank you for giving it a shot, at any rate. ;)

Best,
Dave Accampo
