We did best Z flick, now how about your all time favorite flick period??
Mine has to be a toss up between Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs. I know they are both by the same director, but I can watch either one of them 30x in one day and not get sick of them.

I'm shocked to say it but I have to agree with Jobe, Fight club I can watch over and over and over and Momento I've wanted to re-edit that movie since the first time I saw it just to see if I could. As for Requiem I still have yet to make it through it.

Other notable mentions:

Pie (the math symbol not food)
The Naked Lunch
Brazil
A Clockwork Orange
2001
Evil Dead Series (all 3)
Bubba Ho-Tep
Blade Series
Daybreakers
Citizen Kane

Sorry but I watch way too many movies to really narrow things down, It's more of what am I currently into or give me a category. I think I have rated over 1600 movies in Netflix, I stopped because I wasn't bored anymore and had something to do at work.

Probably Transformers 2. The storyline and characters were just so top-notch and I thought the film was really well directed.
LOL

My real favorites in no particular order.

Fight Club
The Matrix
Star Wars
Toy Story
Lord of the Rings
Forest Gump
Edit: The Shawshank redemption (how could I forget)

I am a man of many tastes.

No Country for Old Men. I can watch that over and over again. My wife hates it because I can watch it over and over again. Anton Chigurh in that movie is so cold and uncaring and has some great lines.

Chigurh: You know how this is going to turn out, dontcha?
Moss: No. Do you?
Chigurh: I think you do. So this is what I'll offer. You bring me the money and I'll let her go. Otherwise she's accountable. The same as you. That's the best deal you're going to get. I won't tell you you can save yourself because you can't.
Moss: Yeah I'm goin' to bring you somethin' all right. I've decided to make you a special project of mine. You ain't goin to have to look for me at all.

I felt it was okay but I didn't like the way they handled Optimus' death. As a kid, when he died, I CRIED. When he died in the movie I was like oh okay they'll get him back. It didn't invoke anything close to those emotions. The ending was too cartoony for me as well. The first one, however, took me back to the 80s. I'm hoping Michael Bay will redeem himself with the 3rd installment.

so many to choose from, and you've all posted some good ones; however, there are a few that you've overlooked that should really be on this list:

The Princess Bride. This is my "desert island" movie. probably the most quotable movie ever. amazing cast, excellent dialogue, spectacular action and high adventure, and incredible romance.

Grosse Point Blank. Written as a joint effort by John Cusack and Jeremy Piven. superb dialogue. superb. I'll say it again, even if Joe comes out of his office to kick my ass...superb. (that was an Empire Records reference. 50 points for those of you paying attention). Any movie that can plausibly string together Pete Townsend, Violent Femmes, English Beat, The Specials and The Pixies so flawlessly in their soundtrack deserves a permanent spot on my shelf. all that plus Minnie Driver! You can't lose.

Impossible to say, since it changes depending on my mood, but I think the one that surfaces the most is Red Cliff. It's got good action scenes, a nice plot, good actors, absolutely fantastic music and it's actually based on true events (although in true John Woo tradition :p)

Like Satan said... too many to pick from. But, I can tell you which ones I keep on my phone at all times to watch when I'm bored or stuck somewhere with nothing to do.

Fight Club
Scarface
Snatch
Romper Stomper
Dogma
North By Northwest

Pick any one of these. I watch these more than any other movie and can continue to. They never get old. Well, maybe Dogma and Romper Stomper get a little old but give it a month and I can watch em again.

Wow. Soooo many good movies. I can't pick just one. I mostly love Action & Comedies. But if I had to pick just one favorite movie, it would probably be one of the movies that bumped the special effects bar up at some point. Most likely I'd pick between, The Matrix, Jurassic Park, or Star Wars.

There's no way I could drop it down to one. Some films are up there because they remind me of good times when I was younger, some stand out on their own merit and some are just plain comfort food I could watch over and over.

The Big Lebowski
Aliens
Inglorious Basterds
Princess Bride (good call Joosbawx)
Airplane
Terminator 1 & 2 (other 2 a bit 'meh')
Eternal sunshine
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Inception
Chasing Amy
Star Wars

The list would go on for ages.
