Monitoring and management are the main components of every RMM tools and PSA software (https://www.gorelo.io) solution. That may not be very stunning news, but it goes a little farther.
Real-time monitoring
Real-time, or as close as possible, monitoring is what you desire. Depending on how you gather data, not all statistics are updated in real time (SNMP, for instance, includes several types of counts that update on intervals of two to five minutes).
It's crucial to cover all the areas you need it. It will only lead to aggravation and the need to switch between many programs if you have something that is mostly focused on servers and you have non-functioning devices to manage. Ideally, it will handle both agency (for servers/endpoints) and agency-less (for networking) protocols.
Integrations
IT frequently comes up with a patchwork, labor-intensive solution to a problem using a variety of siloed solutions (up to 76 just for cybersecurity alone!). Look for an RMM solution that integrates with other solutions, possibly through an API or a published database schema, to avoid this.
