So, I'll save this section of "Everything Else" to post the fun messages and tweets I receive from time to time. Here's a fun one today:
2911
This was after 41-3. After one slower (in my opinion essential) episode. Essentially, nothing happened in Season 3 and 4. Yup.

So, WA is exciting enough to twitter about how boring it is? What a priceless social media experience indeed! m(

I wonder if he simply forgot to download 1.5 seasons worth of episodes, or listened to them all with the volume off?

Well, as they say, any attention is good attention....
I wonder why someone who has been so turned off by the show for so long is concerned with how it ends. :hsugh:

Closure, like the end of Lost, people still watched because they need to know... even if they know ahead of time it will be a fiery train wreck they need to see the wreck. Then they can pass judgement on it; and we all know how people love to judge things

Is Joshua kind of, well, serious about it? I mean ... Considering what happened since the beginning of season #3 ... Maybe he was just joking ... Or am I too naive here?

To be honest, I don't think he's joking. Soon after that one I got this one:

Must be a day of hate for twitter. I don't get these things often.
Oh well, just keep swimming :)

Hi Liam, you are not naive. We are both pretty old school are we not? Back in the early days of mankind - what did we do when - for instance - we did not like a boooooring TV show - we simply switched it off. But nowadays, people like to waste their time discussing things to death that they find boring. The easiest way to deal with such people is sometimes to tell them to "get a life, little Twitter-hipster! Nobody forces you to listen to the show."

Maybe not directly, but I'm forced to listen on some level as it's so compelling and addictive. :D
Stick two fingers up to these dumb twitter freaks - for every one hater, there's hundreds of fans that always have and always will love the show, and the monumental effort that goes into developing and delivering it :)

Haha, What's wrong with the ads? If i can't be bothered to listen to them, i just skip ahead to the intro/go to the next episode, you aren't forced to listen to them....

4 Clicks of the 15 second arrow in the podcast app and voila. Michael Swan. I do listen to the ads the first go around, but subsequent listens don't get the same treatment.

To be honest, after about 120 (ish) episodes, listening to the sponsor messages kinda comes with the territory. I still enjoy listening to the older messages - they add to the nostalgia. And Michael Swan's voice is always a treat aswell :D

I responded to the guy's tweet and stated that his point about the sponsor messages was essentially moot, and we chatted back and forth for a bit, but he stopped responding. Either he realised he was talking crap, or he's got to be up for school in the morning and has gone to bed :D

I personally enjoy the ads. As an avid podcast listener I find it interesting to hear how many different places most advertisers go to. I'm specifically thinking of this weeks sponsor. Its kinda cool in my book.
haters are funny, smile and keep going.

I find it funny because if you watch a show like WD on AMC, they have really normal ads in between, right? "Swiffers don't belong in the zombie apocalypse!!"

And they occur every 15 minutes or so aswell.
I made a point on twitter earlier that the sponsor messages afford us the luxury of enjoying the podcast for free, and if one were so inclined, the messages can be fast-forwarded.
I think I've listened to the ads as often as the episodes that they are associated with - to be honest, I think that would be a clever reptrivia question subject :)

Well, according to rule #12, Bounty paper towels do. That would make a bit more sense. :D

Please do. For those of us that don't skip the sponsor messages, it will be a true loyalty test.
P.S. If I fail the quiz, it'll be a bigger calamity than that time Pegs knocked the plantpot from the Tower balcony :D

I listen to it the first time then skip the sponsor until the new stuff.
