I'm not really a chatroom/forum kinda guy. meaning I don't like to type but i just read a book called the passage and it brought up a point i had never considered. batteries! So we need batteries and we need to charge them. but how long will batteries themselves last? Not the charge but the batteries. How long before we have no way to store power. I mean if a generator breaks you can fix it but how do you "fix" a car battery? How difficult would it be for survivors to make usable, dependable batteries? well I didn't know who else to ask and i figured this crew would know or find out. I couldn't really find an answer on the net other than simple batteries in a cup or from potatoes or fruit.
Thx

Depends on the battery, and how fast it will break down. Some can last a few years. But, after a while they won't take a charge anymore. Maybe by about 7 to 8 years I don't think many batteries will work without some maintenance.
