I just stumbled over this little gem:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgbLhDUqAXM

Synopsis:

"Scott Weidemeyer, an overweight and overbearing fantasy role-playing gamer finds his life turned upside-down when a handsome and charismatic hipster joins his game. Plagued by angst and self-doubt, Scott's troubles worsen with the faltering health of his grandmother, who has cared for him all his life, and the sudden arrival of his estranged mother and her new fiancé. Short-sighted and ill-tempered, Scott finds his once safe and comfortable life spinning wildly out of control." (Rotten-Tomatoes.com)

That looks like it could be very interesting and entertaining. I cant tell from just the trailer, but if it goes deeper than ridiculing adult nerds/gamers, then it might be a very good film.

9/10 I would watch it.

Probably, I should watch it, too, as I have single-handedly killed this fellow here during my D&D years. :)

I must have missed something ...
But, yes: The Strahd Adventure "House of Strahd" (as well as the Ravenloft Campaign Setting) was a fine piece of shit in the good ol' AD&D 2nd Edition times ... And I think a good memory of an adventure has its roots in the brilliant and nice playing of the game by the gamers with their characters aka heroes and heroines. Also: back then the DM (Dungeon Master) had bad luck with his dice ...

Best wishes!
