Just re-listened to all the old episodes, and was wandering what everyone's favourite opening music was, the opening theme. I personally still get shivers from season 3 opening, on the piano.

I'm still getting used to the new music, it's so lush!

Given the tone of #37 I am amazed how well the melancholy of the new version of the theme fits.

The new intro music is definitely my favorite. I'm a strings guy, piano is okay, but anything sad/dissonant on strings is an instant win for me.

The original intro music, purely for nostalgic reasons

I think they should combine the themes: strings for the higher melody, piano for the lower.

Cosign. The strings music is better, but I have a soft spot in my heart for that retro-WA piano music.... :nik:

I actually don't like the string music, I prefer the piano one. Perhaps it's because of sentimental reasons as well, I don't know.
I was a bit put off by it the first time I heard it in Season 4 premiere.

I love the story opening. The first music and Michael Swan was cool, but Michael's narrative with the fast string music in the background which fades to something as mundane as a walk to class gave me shivers and hooked me. I binge listened to all of season one and caught up to the Purgatory of waiting in early season two.

I love how the music has evolved from the first season to the last
