Ugh, we'll see. 90% of newbies don't stick around in my experience (not that I'm around so much anymore).
But We were all newcomers at one point. Look at Scuba, he was new and is now a well established part of the community.
Too be honest on reflection we could do with some new blood, seems from my recent experiences recently like we've lost a large proportion of the old guard with nobody to replace them.

Maybe I am looking back with rose tinted glasses, but it seems to me like I joined the community at its most vibrant. Anyway, we'll see, might be that I just need to get out of the "everything else" section more often.
