I ran across this trailer for a movie called "Warm Bodies", that is due to come out February 1, 2013. In a nutshell, it's Romeo and Juliet, but Romeo is a self-aware zombie and Juliet is a human girl who lives in a survivor community.

It's official... Hollywood has completely run out of ideas.

And We're Alive can't get made into a movie??

I think the question brotilla should be...

Do we want Hollywood to get ahold of we're alive?

:hsugh:

I think it's a pretty clear sign that the zombie trend has jumped the shark. There are still gems out there, like We're Alive, but there's a lot of junk, and now it's going mainstream.

Hollywood often makes decisions based off of what worked in the past, which is why you see so few unique movies out there - it's a risk that investors don't want. A sometimes funny, always humanistic zombie story with lots of twists and turns would only work as a cable series imo. It would be impossible to condense WA into one, two or even three movies without losing the magic that keeps us coming back in the first place.

I do genuinely think it will happen and the best way to make that a reality is to keep spreading the word!

Hm,

a romantic comedy about a zombie in love? Who could provide an opening title for that movie. Wait a sec. I have got an idea. Something that combines the two aspects of love and healthy nutrition. How about this one?

Billy Idol was a zombie pioneer! Remember the music video for Dancing With Myself, with the zombies climbing up the apartment tower building.

OMFG.

Billy Idol's music might just happen to be the key to coexistence between humans and zombies!

I somehow miss the Eighties! Great one, CP!

Just saw this. Should we blame Holly Wood for this? I think it's Canadian-made. Romeo & Juliette, definitely. The young lady's name is Julie and the Zombie's name is R. In a nutshell, the zombie genre has been Twilighted!!!!

There was one possible homage to We're Alive There is a, airport scene where an automated voice can been heard over the P.A. saying, "The White zone is for loading and unloading of passengers." Burt makes this same Airplane reference at LAX.

Another similarity All of the zombies live in one spot; the airport.
