To my fellow nerds and geeks,

with sad news I have to announce that "Bleach" has been canceled in Japan. What does one do when his/her fav anime gets the axe? If you say "Watch Naruto" I'm gonna jab you in the throat.

Ok, enough of my crying. Sooooo tell which shows have your attention and what sites they can be viewed.

I tried the new Xmen and Blade series and..and..and.. bah. They talk too much and Blade has a magic sword???

hahah. Bro, I'm into a bit of everything nerdy like Comic books to serious stuff such as Force Protection/AT
I have a pretty large comfort zone.

i see that, that's good though, a wide comfort zone allows you to be a multifaceted individual.

Some of my favorites are Trinity Blood, Hell Girl, Monster, Hellsing, Wolf's Rain, Outlaw Star, Red Garden, and Ghost in the Shell. There are others, but I'd be here all day trying to list them. :)

Most of these are on Netflix or Hulu.

I call myself going through Gundam Wing after almost a decade, but man this show is terrible. Shockingly terrible. And I'm only on the first disc. Ah well.

Blind bought Bamboo Blade and House of Five Leaves, but haven't gotten to them yet.

Always recommend Desert Punk(netflix) and Hajime No Ippo(youtube). Could try random stuff on the Funimation Channel(youtube). Didn't see Black Lagoon though, and I love that one.

Watch Naruto. xD I'm joking of course. Me and my friends do but only in the same way we watch the new transformers movies (They're so bad its funny, but I won't go into a Michael Bay rant here). Berserk is good I guess, I haven't watched the anime but the manga of claymore is pretty good as well. Basilisk is really strange but if you like that stuff then I guess its ok. Ayakashi is ok. Not brilliant but if you've nothing else to watch. Darker Than Black I really liked. There you go. Plenty of weird-ass Japan to be getting on with. Also I highly recommend reading/ watching the first epeisode or two of naruto then watching the Naruto abridged series. Its pretty funny especially for people who've experianced the whole story arc like me.

I just started watching Eureka Seven a few days ago. I'm already about halfway through the show, and I'm completely in love with it. Of any anime I've watched, not one of them handles character relationships as naturally and humanly as this show; all the characters are impossible not to care about. Besides that, the story is very intriguing, and keeps a lot of secrets. Oh and the humor! That's something that isn't carried across very well in a lot of animes. Humm, I could turn this into a giant, praising rant, but I try not to do that anymore. Suffice it to say, I fucking love this show, and definitely recommend it.

Thats cool, I'll pick it up some time. Another I forgot to recommend is Basilisk, kind of a romeo and juliet style storyline set in feudal Japan. Lots of gratuitous viloence and weird Japany sexual bits but for some reason I finished it.

I might be dredging this one up and necroposting, but hey, this thread is still on the front page...

So, I saw an anime ani-gif and the source was mentioned and figured I'd check it out. There are (only) twelve episodes (so far), I meant to sample the first few, then report back here. I wound up watching all 12 eps in one go just now. A-friggin-mazing.

It's called: High School of the Dead. It is what it sounds like. A couple high school kids are at school when the zombie apocalypse goes down and they then fight their way to safety.

Now, I have to call it out for what it is. Actually, I'll (partially) quote Victor:

"The chick was busting out of her top and jumping up and down while the big robot zombie... thing was eating her friend."

Yes, it is loaded with fan service, there is the improbable, physics defying anatomy and a lot of gratuitous upskirting. Only one episode containing nudity, but still NSFW and DEFINITELY not for kids. But I got to tell ya, it was fun to watch, fan service aside. Given its somewhat adult nature I won't link it here, you can Google it. I have heard that it is on the Zune Marketplace.

On to some others I have watched and enjoyed. Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop, Vandread, Burst Angel, Slayers, to name a few. My favorite however has got to be Full Metal Panic! (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Full_Metal_Panic!) 49 episodes across three seasons and one OVA so far... there's too much to say about it so you can check the link. The story is great and although there hasn't been any new animes since 2005, the manga is still going strong so there could be more.

You got to check out Ergo Proxy. Sadly it only has 2 seasons, but it's the best anime I ever seen. Here's the trailer for it. I know some of the episodes are on Youtube.

@RedShirt, HOTD is brilliant. I also recommend the manga, its on hiatus now, but I heard that the author is to carry on somewhere this year.

Oh yes, High School of the Dead...my favorite character is Kohta Hirano, which is incidentally also the name of the creator of Hellsing~I'm a girl and effing love this anime/manga...Saeko is the best!! So besides H.O.T.D & Hellsing/Hellsing Ultimate, here's my list of reccomendations:

Cowboy Bebop: space western
Fullmetal Alchemist/FMA: Brotherhood = epic.
Ergo Proxy: LOVE
Noein: To Your Other Self: Sci-Fi and beautiful imagery.
Serial Experiments Lain: Sci-fi
Boogiepop Phantom/Boogiepop & Others(Live action Prequel): awesome!
Shiki: Vampires taking over a remote village=lots of blood, lots of death/philosophical arguements
Neon Genesis Evangelion: must see
Code Geass/Code Geass R2: oh yes, we need more of this (CLAMP did the character designs!)
Fairy Tail: I'm pretty new to this one, but it's enjoyable Shonen
Katekyo Hitman Reborn: not translated in English (the manga is) but the anime is pretty sweet
Anything by CLAMP. This would include xxxHOLIC, Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles, X, &ct
Death Note: If you like shows like Sherlock, or detective stories with supernatural elements, please see this one. the animation/VA is PERFECT. (I'm a Madhouse fan)
Wolf's Rain
Scrapped Princess
School Rumble: for silly over the top humor and situations.
Ghost Hunt

If I think of more, I will definitely post again!

Sword Art online is a fairly good one I recommend. It came out last year and supposed to be dubbed by aniplex this year.

So I noticed that Ghost in the shell is now on Netflix in the UK. I find t hard to find the time too watch a whole movie.
Is it worth plunging through the barrier to entry in order too get too the gooey anime tv show inside? Do I even need to watch the movie?
Will Crowbar reply too my post (I've missed you on here old bud)?

So many questions but I promise only one more, bar attack on titan and sword art online is there any other good anime I should check out on Crunchy roll.
If anybody answers Naruto they get a kick in the nuts and/ or any other genitalia possessed. Nt because I'm above it, I was a narutard once, but because I said GOOD anime.
