There's an audio drama competition in UK! I'm going to get our entry together to enter. However, the contest isn't clear on whether or not the shipping date or receive date is the deadline. IF it's the receive date, that's bad news for us and also costly. HOWEVER! If we have a UK fan willing to burn the audio discs and send them locally that would save us a LOT of time and money. We'd be willing to get you the ring tone packs for free! (They aren't even for sale yet!)

If you think you can do this, wonderful! Either contact me directly via e-mail (kc@zombiepodcast.com) or leave a comment below. Thanks!

Today sees the launch of the BBC Audio Drama Awards. The awards aim to celebrate and recognize the cultural importance of audio drama, on air and online, and to give recognition to the actors, writers, producers, sound designers, and others who work in the genre.

Oooooo! The BBC Audio Drama Awards! This could be very very good for WA but far more importantly the cast and crew! I wish I could help out with this one really, but not much I can do for this one. I hope someone can though it would be a really big spotlight for the cast and crew! You guys are without a doubt going places in this world regardless!

Good news, I received word that we can make it in time as long as they receive it in the following days. That way I can QC everything.

Here are the entry selections:
id="chatTable" align="left" width="99%" style="width: 99%"
|-
|
| style="width: 100%" | Ok, 24 for Audio Drama, 23-2 for Sound, 20-3 for Innovation.
|-

Chapter 24 shows the highs and lows of the series and shows what we can do in terms of drama.

23-2 for Sound

I chose this as our entry for sound as it demonstrates the fidelity and dimensions sound is used in our show. It can be used to change the time and space of audience perspective and gives way to allow the absence of sound to have emotional power.

20-3 for Innovation

I chose this as our entry for innovation as it demonstrates the unique way of presenting a story through audio by using cross-cutting scenes. By using this technique it allowed the characters to instantly react to events that had already taken place and out of the control of the listener’s perspective.

--------------

I didn't chose the actor or actress category because we could only choose 3, and it would have been very difficult and unfair to chose any one particular character. And we'd want to enter for Sound and Audio drama, and that would only leave one last category.
