View Full Version : We're Not Dead Episode 19!

Britt

HELLO!

Just an FYI from me that Episode 19 of WND will release late this week. I could go into the technical aspects as to why, but who wants to hear about that? Thankfully my weekend is pretty open so there shouldn’t be an issue getting it to Kc for by tomorrow night.

Thanks for your patience, and I apologize for the delay!

You're such a tease. I see "We're Not Dead Episode 19!" and think "Bloody hell, it's out!". But again I have to wait. *sigh* Okay, I'll be patient.

The longer I've been alive the more I realize more people (especially women) love being teases. :D

Is it bad that I am sitting in a corner rocking back and forth shacking and itching like an addict? I just need a quick fix and I’ll be fine, just a small fix that’s all lol

I'll be incredibly excited when there's a Scratch episode. Until then I'll only be moderately excited.

Also, has anyone told you that you sound like home star runner?

Edit: crap I meant pikepaw.

Yep Adventures in Odyssey, I love Eugene and Connie...plus they had a plot arc involving biological weapons and terrorism plus another arc involving mind control for world domination.
Also no one has told me I sound like home star runner...I don't know how to take that because I always thought he had some brain damage

Britt deserves an award for being an awesome host. Someone make her the 'Awesomest Host Evar' award and mail it creepily to her home... in a brown paper package tied up with string... with slight discoloration on one of the bottom corners making her think it might be someone's head in the box. Just then Morgan Freeman runs in...

This episode was awesome to listen to. I think 4 is definitely the sweet spot for number of people on the show. There's never a slow moment because there are so many ideas floating around. Maybe you guys could even try a 5 man episode. But definitely bring 4 people to your podcasts! This is like my favorite episode, so far! Also, Leedo and Pikepaw are awesome guests! BRING THEM BACK SOON!

It's funny to think back on it. Looking back it's incredulous that the owner of an ice cream shop would be the one to stop an attempt to take over the world.

I didn't mean any offense by that. Just some of your inflections reminded me of it. :) none of your YouTube ones did though so I don't know.

By the by: the drink is called "The Dirty Girl Scout"

Includes green creme de menthe, creme de cacao/khalua, bailey's and vodka. it will look like green hell when done, but it tastes like a thin mint cookie. Can be done as a shot or drink.

Don't worry I'm not offended easily. Yeah listening back it is sort of an on-again, off-again thing. Also thank you for watching my Youtube videos :). I hope the Friday parody didn't torture you too much

(Am only half the way through the episode... will comment more when it's done. Damn work, getting in the way of fun zombie time!)

Datu: Hey, Ok. Maybe Samantha is not around, but I'm still ok. I get some.
Burt: Yeah, she's your last HOPE.

Quit interrupting Britt when she's reading the recap!

I did jack up my ears listening to the first half; some voices were too low, some would explode! But the content was great! Thank you for sharing the improvised background chatter. Burt is pretty quick with the jokes. Kudos on a tasty show.

I know! She said in an earlier episode that she didn't listen, but it was still a surprise when she said it again. Any proper nerd has to be able to understand LOTR references, at least the most obvious ones.

I just wanted to thank the hosts/actors for doing such a great job enacting my first fanfiction. It went over just as I had hoped and I couldn't keep the grin off my face while Bradley made sweet, sweet word love to Greg.

Thank you Britt for you kind comments and showcasing my work. I hadn't planned to write a second chapter but now I want to see just how "hot and bothered" I can make the WND hosts.

I'm willing to act in that second chapter or step aside, whatever happens. Greg Miller has not responded to my tweets after we made sweet word love, I feel kind of brushed aside, some one podcast stand...I would say this has gotten weird, but it started weird and has just gotten more weird.

In my opinion the whole fan fiction / script was horrible. Hearing you all try to imitate the actual voice actors was funny for about 10 seconds and then it got annoying in a hurry. The script was too long and didn't deserve that much time during your podcast. Again, this is my opinion.

I also agree about the audio levels. It's usually not a problem but it was very noticeable this podcast. Having guests on is cool and adds flavor to the show but I'll add that the guests need to get their microphones set up and adjusted *before* the podcast begins recording.

I look forward to future episodes!

@GameOverGreggy one night standed you

I definitely agree about the fan fiction on the podcast. Not my thing, but that might be just me. Especially when it turned into the "quintescencial" fan fiction. I almost expected it to start getting into scissor action on the table.
Just a side note, why do most fan fictions for any series almost always turn to sex immediately? Even the one with the picture you found of the cartoon character that reminded WND of Kalani. (name escapes me right now)

So I've listened to the second half now. Firstly, MEGrat?! Really Britt? That being said, the way you brushed off the corrections was hilarious! I still think the smelling of individual scents will come into it somewhere, but not there.
Also, while sitting at a train station listening to the fanfic I got very uncomfortable. It was awesome & creepy & hilarious but I feel like it went a tad too long to be a pleasant experience. I'd liken it to the 'rape' scene: uncomfortable but you can't stop listening. Perhaps in future do a minute or two of a script then add a link to where the rest can be found? That being said I am waiting for part 2, which I expect to creep me out further. Well done on keeping true-ish to the characters (that's normally the first thing to go in fanfics. The second thing is clothes)!
The improv sequence at the end had me laughing out loud on the train, scaring other passengers. Absolute gold. Great ep & can't wait for the next one (which I should totally be in because I am awesome [not really])!

Also, what do we think of doing a LOTR marathon for britt? :-p she must catch up! Possibly a live stream WA thing or a skype watching of the movie? We'd probably be too distracting & she wouldn't enjoy the trilogy properly because of all the voices in her ear (or head). Just a thought?

You were creeped out Magrat? I was creeped out reading it...and remember Greg was wearing pants at the time. Adds a bit to the creepiness level don't you think? I know it was floating in my brain the whole time...especially since I hadn't read ahead to see how the script ended.

My brain at the time, "Greg is probably going to rape me...his pants are already off...oh man...."

Thx for the feedback guys, positive and negative reception alike its good to know what did and did not work.

My intention was fully to creep people out tho because that's what I imagine being in a vulnerable position with Scratch would be like. Remember when we first met L & S, how they wanted Lizzy? That said, I walk the line between being suggestive and explict (@ j0be I would definitely consider scissor action to be crossing that line but the fact that you felt it might happen means to me, the suggestion was effective).
